| 1犹大王漆德克雅第十年，拿步高在位第十八年，由上主传给耶肋米亚的话： | 1The word that came to Jeremias from the Lord in the tenth year of Sedecias king of Juda: the same is eighteenth year of Nabuchodonosor. |
| 2那时巴比伦王的军队正围攻耶路撒冷，耶肋米亚先知被幽禁在犹大王室监狱的庭院里。 | 2At that time the army of the king of Babylon besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremias the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the house of the king of Juda. |
| 3犹大王漆德克雅幽禁了先知，对他说：「你为什么预言说：上主这样说：看，我必将这城交在巴比伦王手中，他要占领这座城； | 3For Sedecias king of Juda had shut him up, saying: Why dost thou prophesy, saying: Thus saith the Lord: Behold I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it? |
| 4犹大王漆德克雅必逃不出加色丁人的手，因为他必被交在巴比伦王的手，与他面对面相谈，眼对眼相视； | 4And Sedecias king of Juda shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans: but he shall be delivered into the hands of the king of Babylon: and he shall speak to him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall see his eyes. |
| 5他必带漆德克雅到巴比伦去，住在那里，直到我再来看顾他──上主的断语──你们若抵抗加色丁人，决不会成功？」 | 5And he shall lead Sedecias to Babylon: and he shall be there till I visit him, saith the Lord. But if you will fight against the Chaldeans, you shall have no success. |
| 6耶肋米亚说：「有上主的话传给我说： | 6And Jeremias said: The word of the Lord came to me, saying: |
| 7看，你叔父沙隆的儿子哈纳默耳，要到你这里来说：你购买我在阿纳托特的那块田罢！因为你有买回的权利，应把它买回来。」 | 7Behold, Hanameel the son of Sellum thy cousin shall come to thee, saying: Buy thee my field, which is in Anathoth, for it is thy right to buy it, being akin. |
| 8我叔父的儿子哈纳默耳，正如上主所说，到监狱庭院里来找我，对我说：「请你购买我在本雅明地内阿纳托斯的那块田罢！因为你有继承权，和有权买回，你为你自己买下罢！」于是我知道，这是上主的话。 | 8And Hanameel my uncle's son cam to me, according to the word of the to the entry of the prison, and said me: Buy my field, which is in in the land of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thins, and thou art next of kin to possess it. And I understood this was the word of the Lord. |
| 9我便买了我叔父的儿子哈纳默耳在阿纳托特的那块田地，秤给他十七「协刻耳」银子， | 9And I bought the held of my uncle's son, that is in Anathoth: and I weighed him the money, seven staters, and ten pieces of silver. |
| 10写了契约，封上，请人作证，在天秤上秤了银子； | 10And I wrote it in a book and sealed it, and took witnesses: and I weighed him the money in the balances. |
| 11然后按照法定条例，拿着加封和未加封的购买契约， | 11And I took the deed of the purchase that was sealed, and the stipulations, and the ratifications with the seals that were on the outside. |
| 12当着我叔父的儿子哈纳默耳，和在购买契约上签名的见证人，以及监狱庭院里在座的众犹大人眼前，将这购买契约交给了乃黎雅的儿子，玛赫色雅的孙子巴路克， | 12And I gave the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neri the son of Maasias in the sight of Hanameel my uncle's son, in the presence of the witnesses that subscribed the book of the purchase, and before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison. |
| 13并当着他们眼前吩咐巴路克说： | 13And I charged Baruch before them, saying: |
| 14「万军的上主，以色列的天主这样说：将这些加封和未加封的文件，购买的契约拿去，放在一瓦器内，长久保存， | 14Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: Take these writings, this deed of the purchase that is sealed up, and this deed that is open: and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days. |
| 15因为万军的上主，以色列的天主这样说：在这地方，人还要购买房屋、庄田和葡萄园。」 | 15For thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: Houses, and fields, and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land. |
| 16我将购买的契约交给乃黎雅儿子巴路克以后，便祈求上主说： | 16And after I had delivered the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neri, I prayed to the Lord, saying: |
| 17「啊！我主上主！看，你以你的大能和伸展的手臂，创造了天地；为你是没有困难的事。 | 17Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God, behold thou hast made heaven and earth by thy great power, and thy stretched out arm: no word shall be hard to thee: |
| 18你对千万人施行仁慈，但也向后世的子孙本人，追讨他们祖先的罪债；你是伟大有力的天主，『万军的上主』是你名号。 | 18Thou shewest mercy unto thousands, and returnest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: O most mighty, great, and powerful, the Lord of hosts is thy name. |
| 19你有伟大的计谋，有行大事的能力；双目注视人类子孙所有的行径，依照各人的行径和行事的结果，给予报酬。 | 19Great in counsel and incomprehensible in thought: whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the children of Adam, to render unto every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his devices. |
| 20你直到今日在埃及地，在以色列和人世间，施行奇蹟和异事，使你自己成名，有如今日； | 20Who hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt even until this day, and in Israel, and amongst men, and hast made thee a name as at this day. |
| 21你以灵蹟奇事，有力的手腕和伸展的臂膊，巨大的恐吓，从埃及地领出了你的人民以色列， | 21And hast brought forth thy people Israel, out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and a stretched out arm, and with great terror. |
| 22给了他们你曾向他们的祖先起誓，要给他们的这块流奶流蜜的土地。 | 22And hast given them this land which thou didst swear to their fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey. |
| 23他们来了，占领了这地，却没有听从你的声音，没有履行你的法律，没有做你命他们应做的一切事，为此你给他们招来了这一切灾祸。 | 23And they came in, and possessed it: but they obeyed not thy voice, and they walked not in thy law: and they did not any of those things that thou didst command them to do, and all these evils are come upon them. |
| 24看围攻的工事已逼近城市，势必攻陷；这个已面临兵刀饥荒和瘟疫的城市，必落在进攻的加色丁人手中；你所说的现已实现，你已目睹； | 24Behold works are built up against the city to take it: and the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans, who fight against it, by the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken, is all come to pass, as thou thyself seest. |
| 25然而，我主上主！正当这城交在加色丁人手中之际，你却对我说：你要请人作证，用银子购买田地。」 | 25And sayest thou to me, O Lord God: Buy a field for money, and take witnesses, whereas the city is given into the hands of the Chaldeans? |
| 26于是有上主的话传给我： | 26And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, saying: |
| 27「看，我是上主，是一切有血肉者的天主：难道我有作不到的事吗？ | 27Behold I am the Lord the God of all flesh: shall any thing be hard for me? |
| 28为此，上主这样说：看，我将这城交在加色丁人和巴比伦王拿步高的手中，他必占领这座城。 | 28Therefore thus saith the Lord: Behold I will deliver this city into the hands of the Chaldeans, and into the hands of the king of Babylon, and they shall take it. |
| 29进攻这城的加色丁人要来放火焚烧，把这座城，和在屋顶上给巴耳焚香，向外神行奠礼，惹我动怒的房屋，烧得乾乾净净， | 29And the Chaldeans that fight against this city, shall come and set it on fire, and burn it, with the houses upon whose roofs they offered sacrifice to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to strange gods, to provoke me to wrath. |
| 30因为以色列和犹大子民自幼在我眼前只知作恶；实在，以色列子民双手所行的，无不使我动怒──上主的断语── | 30For the children of Israel, and the children of Juda, have continually done evil in my eyes from their youth: the children of Israel who even till now provoke me with the work of their hands, saith the Lord. |
| 31实在，这座城，自从他们开始建筑那一天，直到今日，常惹我动怒生气，致使我不得不从我面前将她消灭。 | 31For this city hath been to me a provocation and indignation from the day that they built it, until this day, in which it shall be taken out of my sight. |
| 32这全是出于以色列和犹大子民，即他们、他们的君王、朝臣、司祭、先知，以及犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民，所行的一切使我动怒的恶事。 | 32Because of all the evil of the children of Israel, and of the children of Juda, which they have done, provoking me to wrath, they and their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets, the men of Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. |
| 33他们对我转过背来，却不对我转过脸来；我虽不断恳切施教，他们仍不愿听从，接受劝告； | 33And they have turned their backs to me, and not their faces: when I taught them early in the morning, and instructed them, and they would not hearken to receive instruction. |
| 34反将可恶之物安置在归我名下的殿里，使我的殿宇受到了玷污； | 34And they have set their idols in the house, in which my name is called upon, to defile it. |
| 35又在本希农山谷给巴耳建造了一些丘坛，给摩肋客火祭自己的子女：这是我从来没有吩咐，也从来没有想到过的事；他们竟做出这些可恶的事，来引诱犹大犯罪。 | 35And they have built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Ennom, to consecrate their sons and their daughters to Moloch: which I commanded them not, neither entered it into my heart, that they should do this abomination, and cause Juda to sin. |
| 36现在，上主以色列的天主，对这座你说要因兵戈饥荒瘟疫，而被交在巴比伦王手中的城市，却这样说： | 36And now, therefore, thus saith the Lord the God of Israel to this city, whereof you say that it shall be delivered into the hands of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by famine, and by pestilence: |
| 37看，我必从我生气愤恨发怒时驱逐他们所到的各地，再召集他们，领他们回到这地方来，安然居住， | 37Behold I will gather them together out of all the lands to which I have cast them out in my anger, and in my wrath, and in my great indignation: and I will bring them again into this place, and will cause them to dwell securely. |
| 38作我的人民，我作他们的天主， | 38And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. |
| 39且使他们一心一德，终生敬畏我，造福自己和自己后代的子孙； | 39And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me all days: and that it may be well with them, and with their children after them. |
| 40与他们订立一永久的盟约，再不离弃他们，为他们谋幸福，将敬畏我之情赋于他们心内，使他们不再离开我； | 40And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, and will not cease to do them good: and I will give my fear in their heart, that they may not revolt from me. |
| 41乐意好待他们，专心致志将他们安顿在这城里。 | 41And I will rejoice over them, when I shall do them good: and I will plant them in this land in truth, with my whole heart, and with all my soul. |
| 42因为上主这样说：我怎样给这人民招来了这一切大灾祸，也要同样给他们招来我预许的一切幸福。 | 42For thus saith the Lord: As I have brought upon this people all this great evil: so will I bring upon them all the good that I now speak to them. |
| 43在这个你们说已成荒野，已人兽绝迹，已交在加色丁人手中的地域里，还有田地的交易； | 43And fields shall be purchased in this land: whereof you say that it is desolate, because there remaineth neither man nor beast, and it is given into the hands of the Chaldeans. |
| 44在本雅明地，在耶路撒冷城郊，在犹大、山地、平原和南部的城里，人们还要花钱买田，写契盖章，请人作证，因为我要转变他们的命运──上主的断语。」 | 44Fields shall be bought for money, and deeds shall be written, and sealed, and witnesses shall be taken, in the land of Benjamin, and round about Jerusalem, in the cities of Juda, and in the cities on the mountains, and in the cities of the plains, and in the cities that are towards the south: for I will bring back their captivity, saith the Lord. |
