| 1犹大王漆德克雅第九年十月，巴比伦王拿步高率领全军进攻，包围了耶路撒冷， | 1In the ninth year of Sedecias king of Juda, in the tenth month, came Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and all his army to Jerusalem, and they besieged it. |
| 2漆德克雅第十一年四月初九，京城被攻破── | 2And in the eleventh year of Sedecias, in the fourth month, the fifth day of the month, the city was opened. |
| 3巴比伦王众将帅入城，坐镇中央门：计有卫队长乃步匝辣当、大将军乃步沙次班、战车司令乃尔加耳沙勒责尔和巴比伦王其余众将帅。 | 3And all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate: Neregel, Sereser, Semegarnabu, Sarsachim, Rabsares, Neregel, Serezer, Rebmag, and all the rest of the princes of the king of Babylon. |
| 4犹大王漆德克雅和所有的战士一见如此，就立即逃遁，夜间弃城出走，取道御苑，穿过两墙间的便门，直向阿辣巴的路上跑去。 | 4And when Sedecias the king of Juda and all the men of war saw them, they fled: and they went forth in the night out of the city by the way of the king's garden, and by the gate that was between the two walls, and they went; out to the way of the desert. |
| 5加色丁人军队立即追赶他们，就在耶里哥荒野追上了漆德克雅，将他捉住，带到哈玛特境内的黎贝拉去见巴比伦王拿步高；王即宣判了他的罪状。 | 5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them: and they took Sedecias in the plain of the desert of Jericho, and when they had taken him, they brought him to Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon to Reblatha, which is in the land of Emath: and he gave judgment upon him. |
| 6巴比伦王在黎贝拉，就当漆德克雅眼前杀了他的儿子；巴比伦王也杀了犹大所有的贵卿； | 6And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Sedecias, in Reblatha, before his eyes: and the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Juda. |
| 7然后挖了漆德克雅的双眼，给他带上锁链，送往巴比伦去。 | 7He also put out the eyes of Sedecias: and bound him with fetters, to be carried to Babylon. |
| 8于是加色丁人放火焚烧了王宫和民房，拆毁了耶路撒冷的城墙； | 8And the Chaldeans burnt the king's house, and the houses of the people with fire, and they threw down the wall of Jerusalem. |
| 9城中剩下的人民，和已向他投降的人民，以及其余的平民，卫队长乃步匝辣当都掳到巴比伦去。 | 9And Nabuzardan the general of the army carried away captive to Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and the fugitives that had gone over to him, and the rest of the people that remained. |
| 10至于人民中一无所有的穷人，卫队长乃步匝辣当仍让他们留居犹大地，同时还给他们分配了些葡萄园和农田。 | 10But Nabuzardan the general left some of the poor people that had nothing at all, in the land of Juda, and he gave them vineyards, and cisterns at that time. |
| 11关于耶肋米亚，巴比伦王拿步高对卫队长乃步匝辣当当下令说： | 11Now Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon had given charge to Nabuzardan the general concerning Jeremias, saying: |
| 12「将他带去，好好看待他，不但丝毫不可加害，反要照他对你说的，给他照办！」 | 12Take him, and set thy eyes upon him, and do him no harm: but as he hath a mind, so do with him. |
| 13于是卫队长乃步匝辣当，大将军乃步沙次班，战车司令乃尔加耳沙勒责尔，及巴比伦王其余将帅派人前去， | 13Therefore Nabuzardan the general sent, and Nabusezban, and Rabsares, and Neregel, and Sereser, and Rebmag, and all the nobles of the king of Babylon, |
| 14由拘留所的庭院里提出耶肋米亚来，交给了沙番的孙子，阿希甘的儿子革达里雅，叫他带到自己的家里去，从此耶肋米亚就再居住在民间。 | 14Sent, and took Jeremias out of the court of the prison, and committed him to Codolias the son of Ahicam the son of Saphan, that he might go home, and dwell among the people. |
| 15耶肋米亚还监禁在拘留所的庭院时，上主有话传给他说： | 15But the word of the Lord came to Jeremias, when he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying: Go, and tell Abdemelech the Ethiopian, saying: |
| 16「你去告诉雇士人厄贝得默肋客说：万军的上主，以色列的天主这样说：看，我使我的话实现在这座城上，不是为赐福，而是为降祸：到了那天，要当着你面前实现。 | 16Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: Behold I will bring my words upon this city unto evil, and not unto good: and they shall be accomplished in thy sight in that day. |
| 17到了那天，我必救你──上主的断语──你不会被交在你怕与他们相见的人的手里， | 17And I will deliver thee in that day, saith the Lord: and thou shalt not be given into the hands of the men whom thou fearest: |
| 18因为我必拯救你，你不会丧身在刀下，你必获得性命如获得战利品，因为你信赖了我──上主的断语。」 | 18But delivering, I will deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword: but thy life shall be saved for thee, because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord. |
