| 1耶肋米亚向全体人民说完上主他们的天主的一切话，即上主他们的天主派遣他来向他们转告的这一切话以后， | 1And it came to pass, that when Jeremias had made an end of speaking to the people all the words of the Lord their God, for which the Lord their God had sent him to them, all these words: |

| 3只是乃黎雅的儿子巴路克挑唆你反对我们，好将我们交在加色丁人手中，或杀或掳到巴比伦去。」 | 3But Baruch the son of Nerias setteth thee on against us, to deliver us into the hands of the Chaldeans, to kill us, and to cause us to be carried away captives to Babylon. |
| 4卡勒亚的儿子约哈南和众部队首领以及全体人民，没有听从上主的劝告，住在犹大地内。 | 4So Johanan the son of Caree, and all the captains of the soldiers, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the Lord, to remain in the land of Juda. |
| 5卡勒亚的儿子约哈南和众部队首领，反而率领全体犹大遗民，即那些四散到各民族间，又回来住在犹大境内的人： | 5But Johanan the son of Caree, and all the captains of the soldiers took all the remnant of Juda, that were returned out of all nations, to which they had before been scattered, to dwell in the land of Juda: |
| 6男子和妇女，幼童和王家闺秀，以及卫队长乃步匝辣当给沙番的孙子，阿希甘的儿子留下的人，连同先知耶肋米亚和乃黎雅的儿子巴路克， | 6Men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every soul, which Nabuzardan the general had left with Godolias the son of Ahicam the son of Saphan, and Jeremias the prophet, and Baruch the son of Nerias. |
| 7到埃及地去了；没有听从上主的劝告，而来到塔黑培乃斯。 | 7And they went Into the land of Egypt, for they obeyed not the voice of the Lord: and they came as far as Taphnis. |
| 8在塔黑培乃斯上主有话传给耶肋米亚说： | 8And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias in Taphnis, saying: |
| 9「你用手拿一些大石头，当着犹大人眼前，藏在塔黑培乃斯法郎王宫门前石铺地道下面， | 9Take great stones in thy hand, and thou shalt hide them in the vault that is under the brick wall at the gate of Pharao's house in Taphnis: in the sight of the men of Juda. |
| 10然后对他们说：万军的上主，以色列的天主这样说：看，我必派人去领我的仆人巴比伦王拿步高来，在你藏的这些石头上安置他的宝座，张设他的华盖。 | 10And thou shalt say to them: Thus saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel: Behold I will send, and take Nabuchodonosor the king of Babylon my servant: and I will set his throne over these stones which I have hid, and he shall set his throne over them. |
| 11他必来攻打埃及地，叫那该死的死，该掳的掳，该杀的杀； | 11And he shall come and strike the land of Egypt: such as are for death, to death: and such as are for captivity, to captivity: and such as are for the sword, to the sword. |
| 12必来放火焚烧埃及的神庙，烧毁或掳走庙内的神像；必来收取埃及地，如同牧人收取自己的外衣，最后安然离去。 | 12And he shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them, and he shall carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment: and he shall go forth from thence in peace. |
| 13此外，他还要粉碎埃及地太阳神庙的石柱，放火焚烧埃及的神庙。」 | 13And he shall break the statues of the house of the sun, that are in the land of Egypt; and the temples of the gods of Egypt he shall burn with fire. |
