| 2「上主，以色列的天主论及你，巴路克，这样说： | 2Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel to thee, Baruch: |
| 3你曾说：我多么可怜！因为上主在我的愁苦上还加添痛苦，我呻吟憔悴，得不到安宁！」 | 3Thou hast said: Woe is me, wretch that I am, for the Lord hath added sorrow to my sorrow: I am wearied with my groans, and I find no rest. |
| 4你应这样对他说：上主这样说：看！我拆毁的，是我所建造的；我拔除的，是我所栽培的；我要打击全地， | 4Thus saith the Lord: Thus shalt thou say to him: Behold, them whom I have built, I do destroy: and them whom I have planted, I do pluck up, and all this land. |
| 5你还有什么大事可为自己请求；不必请求了。看，我给一切血肉招来灾祸──上主的断语──至于你，不论你到什么地方去，我必赐你获得性命，如获胜利品。」 | 5And dost thou seek great things for thyself? Seek not: for behold I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the Lord! but I will give thee thy life, and save thee in all places whithersoever thou shalt go. |
