| 1关于阿孟子民：上主这样说：「难道以色列没有子孙，没有后嗣？为什么米耳公占据了加得，而他的人民竟住在加得的城中？ | 1Against the children of Ammon. Thus saith the Lord: Hath Israel no sons? or hath he no heir? Why then hath Melchom inherited Gad: and his people dwelt in his cities? |
| 2为此，看，时日将到──上主的断语──我必使阿孟子民的辣巴听到战争的呐喊；她要成为一堆废墟，她的附属城市要为火烧尽；以色列终归要继承自己的产业──上主说。 | 2Therefore behold the days come, saith the Lord, and I will cause the noise of war to be heard in Rabbath of the children of Ammon, and it shall be destroyed into a heap, and her daughters shall be burnt with fire, and Israel shall possess them that have possessed him, saith the Lord. |
| 3赫市朋，哀号罢！因为破坏者已来近了；辣巴的女郎！你们该哭泣，穿上苦衣哀伤，割伤自己的身体，因为米耳公要与自己的司祭和公卿，同去充军。 | 3Howl, O Hesebon, for Hai is wasted. Cry, ye daughters of Rabbath, gird yourselves with haircloth: mourn and go about by the hedges: for Melchom shall be carried into captivity, his priests, and his princes together. |
| 4失节的女郎！你为什么要夸耀你的山谷是富裕的山谷，仗恃你的宝藏说：「有谁敢来与我对抗？ | 4Why gloriest thou in the valleys? thy valley hath flowed away, O delicate daughter, that hast trusted in thy treasures, and hast said: Who shall come to me? |
| 5看，我从各方给你召来恐怖──我主万军上主的断语──你们必被驱逐，各自奔逃，再没有人来聚集逃散的人。 | 5Behold I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord God of hosts, from all that are round about thee: and you shall be scattered every one out of one another's sight, neither shall there be any to gather together them that flee. |
| 6虽然如此，日后我仍要转变阿孟子民的命运──上主的断语。」 | 6And afterwards I will cause the captives of the children of Ammon to return, saith the Lord. |
| 7关于厄东，万军的上主这样说：「难道在特曼已没有智慧，聪敏的人已计穷才尽了吗？ | 7Against Edom. Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Is wisdom no more in Theman? counsel is perished from her children: their wisdom is become unprofitable. |
| 8德丹的居民！你们该转身逃遁，藏居深处，因为我要给厄撒乌招来灾祸到了已惩罚他的时候。 | 8Flee and turn your backs, go down into the deep hole, ye inhabitants of Dedan: for I have brought the destruction of Esau upon him, the time of his visitation. |
| 9如果收葡萄的人来到你这里，决不会留下残余；如果盗贼夜间来袭，必要尽力抢取； | 9If grapegatherers had come to thee, would they not have left a bunch? if thieves in the night, they would have taken what was enough for them. |
| 10我就要这样暴露厄撒乌，揭发他的隐处，使他无法躲藏；他的后裔，必被消灭，不再存于自己的邻邦中。 | 10But I have made Esau bare, I have revealed his secrets, and he cannot be hid: his seed is laid waste, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he shall not be. |
| 11请留下你的孤儿，我必使他们生存，你的寡妇也可托付给我。 | 11Leave thy fatherless children: I will make them live: and thy widows shall hope in me. |
| 12因为上主这样说：看，那原来不该饮苦爵的，一定要饮，你要想完全免罚吗？你决不致于免罚，你也该痛饮！ | 12For thus saith the Lord: Behold they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup, shall certainly drink: and shalt thou come off as innocent? thou shalt not come off as innocent, but drinking thou shalt drink. |
| 13因为，我曾指自己起誓──上主的断语──波责辣必成为一片荒凉，受人憎恨、侮辱和诅咒；她所有的城市，必要永远变为荒野。 | 13For I have sworn by myself, saith the Lord, that Bosra shall become a desolation, and a reproach, and a desert, and a curse: and all her cities shall be everlasting wastes. |
| 14我从上主听得了一个消息，在万民间传开了一个号令：「你们该联盟向她进攻！你们该起来交战！」 | 14I have heard a rumour from the Lord, and an ambassador is sent to the nations: Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and let us rise up to battle. |
| 15因为，看，我已使你成为万民中最小的，成为人间最可轻贱的。 | 15For behold I have made thee a little one among the nations, despicable among men. |
| 16你高居在石缝的隐处，盘据在峻岭的山巅。你自以为惊异，你心内的骄傲欺骗了你。即使你像老鹰一样高结你的巢穴，我也要从那里将你推下──上主的断语。 | 16Thy arrogancy hath deceived thee, and the pride of thy heart: O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, and endeavourest to lay hold on the height of the hill: but though thou shouldst make thy nest as high as an eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the Lord. |
| 17厄东必变成荒野，凡由她那里经过的人，见了她的种种惨状，必要唏嘘嗟叹。 | 17And Edom shall be desolate: every one that shall pass by it, shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all its plagues. |
| 18她必要像毁灭的索多玛，哈摩辣及附近的城市一样──上主说──再没有人居住，再没有人在那里寄宿。 | 18As Sodom was overthrown and Gomorrha, and the neighbours thereof, saith the Lord: there shall not a man dwell there, and there shall no son of man inhabit it. |
| 19看，好像一只雄狮，从约但的丛林上来，走向常绿的牧场；同样，我也要突然将他们赶走，派我选定的人民来统治。诚然，谁是我的对手？谁敢向我提出质问？谁是能对抗我的牧人？ | 19Behold one shall come up as a lion from the swelling of the Jordan, against the strong and beautiful: for I will make him run suddenly upon her: and who shall be the chosen one whom I may appoint over her? for who is like to me? and who shall abide me? and who is that shepherd that can withstand my countenance? |
| 20为此，请你们听上主对厄东设计的计谋，对特曼居民策划的策略：连最弱小的羊也要被人牵去，他们的牧场也必陷于战栗中。 | 20Therefore hear ye the counsel of the Lord, which he hath taken concerning Edom: and his thoughts which he hath thought concerning the inhabitants of Theman: surely the little ones of the flock shall cast them down, of a truth they shall destroy them with their habitation. |
| 21他们倒塌的响声，震撼大地；哀号之声，直达红海。 | 21The earth is moved at the noise of their fall: the cry of their voice is heard in the Red Sea. |
| 22看，他好像老鹰飞升翱翔，在波责辣上展开自己的翅膀；在那一日，厄东的勇士必心志颓丧，有如临产的妇女。 | 22Behold he shall come up as an eagle, and fly: and he shall spread his wings over Bosra: and in that day the heart of the valiant ones of Edom shall be as the heart of a woman in labour. |
| 23关于大马士革：哈玛特和阿尔帕得听到了不好的消息，大起恐慌，像海洋一样动荡，愁苦得不能安宁。 | 23Against Damascus. Emath is confounded and Arphad: for they have heard very bad tidings, they are troubled as in the sea: through care they could not rest. |
| 24大马士革失去勇气，转身逃遁，极感战栗，备受忧虑痛苦，好像一临产的妇女。 | 24Damascus is undone, she is put to flight, trembling hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her as a woman in labour. |
| 25哀哉，有名的城邑，享乐的都市，已被摒弃！ | 25How have they forsaken the city of renown, the city of joy! |
| 26她的少年将倒毙在广场，她的战士在那一日内要悉数灭亡──万军上主的断语── | 26Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets: and all the men of war shall be silent in that day, saith the Lord of hosts. |
| 27我必在大马士革城墙上放火，吞灭本哈达得的宫阙。 | 27And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the strong holds of Benadad. |
| 28关于刻达尔和巴比伦王拿步高克服了的哈祚尔诸国，上主这样说：「起来！进攻刻达尔，蹂躝东方子民！ | 28Against Cedar and against the kingdoms of Asor, which Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon destroyed. Thus saith the Lord: Arise, and go ye up to Cedar, and waste the children of the east. |
| 29夺取他们的帐幕和牲畜，惟幔和所有的器具；牵走他们的骆驼，向他们呐喊：四面恐怖。 | 29They shall take their tents, and their flocks: and shall carry off for themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels: and they shall call fear upon them round about. |
| 30哈祚尔的居民！你们应逃遁远去，藏匿深处──上主的断语──因为巴比伦王拿步高已设计谋害你们，已策画攻击你们。 | 30Flee ye, get away speedily, sit in deep holes, you that inhabit Asor, saith the Lord: for Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived designs against you. |
| 31起来，进攻优游闲居，不设门闩，孑然独居的民族──上主的断语── | 31Arise, and go up to a nation that is at ease, and that dwelleth securely, saith the Lord: they have neither gates, nor bars: they dwell alone. |
| 32抢夺他们的骆驼，劫掠他们成群的牲畜；凡剃去鬓发的，我必叫他们随风飘散，由四面八方给他们招来灾祸──上主的断语── | 32And their camels shall be for a spoil, and the multitude of their cattle for a booty, and I will scatter into every wind them that have their hair cut round, and I will bring destruction upon them from all their confines, saith the Lord. |
| 33哈祚尔要变为豺狼的巢穴，永远荒凉，不会留下一人，不会再有人居住。 | 33And Asor shall be a habitation for dragons, desolate for ever: no man shall abide there, nor son of man inhabit it. |
| 34犹大王漆德克雅初年，关于厄蓝有上主的话传给耶肋米亚先知说： | 34The word of the Lord that came to Jeremias the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Sedecias king of Juda, saying: |
| 35「万军的上主这样说：看，我要折断厄蓝的弓弩，称雄的势力； | 35Thus saith the Lord of hosts: Behold I will break the bow of Elam, and their chief strength. |
| 36我要从天下四面八方，给厄蓝召来四方的风，使他们随风飘散，以致没有一个民族，没有厄蓝的难民。 | 36And I will bring upon Elam the four winds from the fear quarters of heaven: and I will scatter them into all these winds: and there shall be no nation, to which the fugitives of Elam shall not come. |
| 37我必使厄蓝在自己的仇敌，和图谋自己性命的人前，惊惶失措；给他们招来灾祸，我忿怒的火焰──上主的断语──派出刀剑追迫他们，直至将他们完全消灭。 | 37And I will cause Elam to be afraid before their enemies, and in the sight of them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, my fierce wrath, saith the Lord: and will send the sword after them, till I consume them. |
| 38我必在厄蓝设立我的宝座，歼灭其中的君王将帅──上主的断语── | 38And I will set my throne in Elam, and destroy kings and princes from thence, saith the Lord. |
| 39虽然如此，在末日我仍要转变厄蓝的命运──上主的断语。」 | 39But in the latter days I will cause the captives of Elam, to return, saith the Lord. |
