约伯传	Job
¹全能者为何不划定一个期限呢？忠于他的人为何看不到他的日子？	¹Times are not hid from the Almighty: but they that know him, know not his days.
²恶人挪移地界，抢去羊群自去牧放；	²Some have removed landmarks, have taken away flocks by force, and fed them.
³赶走孤儿的驴，拿去寡妇的牛作抵押；	³They have driven away the ass of the fatherless, and have taken away the widow's ox for a pledge.
⁴迫使穷人离开正路，使境内的贫民隐藏不露。	⁴They have overturned the way of the poor, and have oppressed together the meek of the earth.
⁵看啊！他们像旷野的野驴，出来寻觅食物；他们纵使到晚操作，却找不到养子女的食物。	⁵Others like wild asses in the desert go forth to their work: by watching for a prey they get bread for their children.
⁶夜间遂到田间去收割，到恶人的葡萄园中去摘取。	⁶They reap the field that is not their own, and gather the vintage of his vineyard whom by violence they have oppressed.
⁷赤身过宿，无衣蔽体；严寒之时，没有舖盖。	⁷They send men away naked, taking away their clothes who have no covering in the cold:
⁸在山中为暴雨淋透，因无处避身，而卧于磐石下。	⁸Who are wet, with the showers of the mountains, and having no covering embrace the stones.
⁹另有些人将孤儿从母怀中抢去，剥去穷人的衣服作抵押，	⁹They have violently robbed the fatherless, and stripped the poor common people.
¹⁰致使他们无衣赤身行走，枵腹担荷麦捆；	¹⁰From the naked and them that go without clothing, and from the hungry they have taken away the ears of corn.
¹¹在石槽中搾油、践踏，反受口渴之苦。	¹¹They have taken their rest at noon among the stores of them, who after having trodden the winepresses suffer thirst.
¹²临死者的呻吟，声闻城外；负伤者呼求救援，天主却不理会他们的哀求。	¹²Out of the cities they have made men to groan, and the soul of the wounded hath cried out, and God doth not suffer it to pass unrevenged.
¹³另有些人反抗光明，不认识光明的道路，更不走光明的途径。	¹³They have been rebellious to the light, they have not known his ways, neither have they returned by his paths.
¹⁴凶手黎明即起，去杀害困苦和贫穷的人，夜间去作盗贼。	¹⁴The murderer riseth at the very break of day, he killeth the needy, and the poor man: but in the night he will be as a thief.
¹⁵奸夫的眼盼望黄昏，他心里说：「没有眼可看见我！」就将自己的脸遮蔽起来。	¹⁵The eye of the adulterer observeth darkness, saying: No eye shall see me: and he will cover his face.
¹⁶窃贼夜间挖穿屋墙，白日将自己关起，不愿看见光明，	¹⁶He diggeth through houses in the dark, as in the day they had appointed for themselves, and they have not known the light.
¹⁷因为早晨对这班人有如死影，他们已熟悉了黑暗的恐怖。	¹⁷If the morning suddenly appear, it is to them the shadow of death: and they walk in darkness as if it were in light.
¹⁸是否如此？谁能证明我说谎，谁能以我的话为荒诞？	¹⁸He is light upon the face of the water: cursed be his portion on the earth, let him not walk by the way of the vineyards.
¹⁹	¹⁹Let him pass from the snow waters to excessive heat, and his sin even to hell.
²⁰	²⁰Let mercy forget him: may worms be his sweetness: let him be remembered no more, but be broken in pieces as an unfruitful tree.
²¹	²¹For he hath fed the barren that beareth not, and to the widow he hath done no good.
²²	²²He hath pulled down the strong by his might: and when he standeth up, he shall not trust to his life.
²³	²³God hath given him place for penance, and he abuseth it unto pride: but his eyes are upon his ways.
²⁴	²⁴They are lifted up for a little while and shall not stand, and shall be brought down as all things, and shall be taken away, and as the tops of the ears of corn they shall be broken.
²⁵	²⁵And if it be not so, who can convince me that I have lied, and set my words before God?
