| 1耶稣说完了这些话，就和门徒出去，到了克德龙溪的对岸，在那里有一个园子，他和门徒便进去了。 | 1When Jesus had said these things, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where there was a garden, into which he entered with his disciples. |
| 2出卖他的犹达斯也知道那地方，因为耶稣同门徒曾屡次在那里聚集。 | 2And Judas also, who betrayed him, knew the place; because Jesus had often resorted thither together with his disciples. |
| 3犹达斯便领了一队兵和由司祭長及法利塞人派来的差役，带着火把、灯笼与武器，来到那里。 | 3Judas therefore having received a band of soldiers and servants from the chief priests and the Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. |
| 4耶稣既知道要临到他身上的一切事，便上前去问他们说：「你们找谁？」 | 4Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said to them: Whom seek ye? |
| 5他们答复说：「纳匝肋人耶稣。」他向他们说：「我就是」。出卖他的犹达斯也同他们站在一起。 | 5They answered him: Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith to them: I am he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, stood with them. |
| 6耶稣一对他们说了「我就是」，他们便倒退跌在地上。 | 6As soon therefore as he had said to them: I am he; they went backward, and fell to the ground. |
| 7于是他又问他们说：「你们找谁？」他们说：「纳匝肋人耶稣。」 | 7Again therefore he asked them: Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. |
| 8耶稣答复说：「我已给你们说了『我就是』；你们既然找我，就让这些人去罢！」 | 8Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way. |
| 9这是为应验他先前所说的话：「你赐给我的人，其中我没有丧失一个。」 | 9That the word might be fulfilled which he said: Of them whom thou hast given me, I have not lost any one. |
| 10西满伯多禄有一把剑，就拔出来，向大司祭的一个仆人砍去，削下了他的右耳；那仆人名叫玛耳曷。 | 10Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it, and struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. And the name of the servant was Malchus. |
| 11耶稣就对伯多禄说：「把剑收入鞘内！父赐给我的杯，我岂能不喝吗？」 | 11Jesus therefore said to Peter: Put up thy sword into the scabbard. The chalice which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? |
| 12于是兵队、千夫长和犹太人的差役拘捕了耶稣，把他綑起来， | 12Then the band and the tribune, and the servants of the Jews, took Jesus, and bound him: |
| 13先解送到亚纳斯那里，亚纳斯是那一年当大司祭的盖法的岳父。 | 13And they led him away to Annas first, for he was father in law to Caiphas, who was the high priest of that year. |
| 14就是这个盖法曾给犹太人出过主意：叫一个人替百姓死，是有利的。 | 14Now Caiphas was he who had given the counsel to the Jews: That it was expedient that one man should die for the people. |
| 15那时，西满伯多禄同另一个门徒跟着耶稣；那门徒是大司祭所认识的，便同耶稣一起进了大司祭的庭院， | 15And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. And that disciple was known to the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the court of the high priest. |
| 16伯多禄却站在门外；大司祭认识的那个门徒遂出来，对看门的侍女说了一声，就领伯多禄进去。 | 16But Peter stood at the door without. The other disciple therefore, who was known to the high priest, went out, and spoke to the portress, and brought in Peter. |
| 17那看门的侍女对伯多禄说：「你不也是这人的一个门徒吗？」他说：「我不是。」 | 17The maid therefore that was portress, saith to Peter: Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith: I am not. |
| 18那时，仆人和差役，因为天冷就生了炭火，站着烤火取煖；伯多禄也同他们站在一起，烤火取煖。 | 18Now the servants and ministers stood at a fire of coals, because it was cold, and warmed themselves. And with them was Peter also, standing, and warming himself. |
| 19大司祭就有关他的门徒和他的教义审问耶稣。 | 19The high priest therefore asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. |
| 20耶稣答复他说：「我向来公开地对世人讲话，我常常在会堂和圣殿内，即众犹太人所聚集的地方施教，在暗地里我并没有讲过什么。 | 20Jesus answered him: I have spoken openly to the world: I have always taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither all the Jews resort; and in secret I have spoken nothing. |
| 21你为什么问我？你问那些听过我的人，我给他们讲了什么；他们知道我所说的。」 | 21Why asketh thou me? ask them who have heard what I have spoken unto them: behold they know what things I have said. |
| 22他刚说完这话，侍立在旁的一个差役，就给了耶稣一个耳光，说：「你就这样答复大司祭吗？」 | 22And when he had said these things, one of the servants standing by, gave Jesus a blow, saying: Answerest thou the high priest so? |
| 23耶稣答复他说：「我若说得不对，你指证那里不对；若对，你为什么打我？」 | 23Jesus answered him: If I have spoken evil, give testimony of the evil; but if well, why strikest thou me? |
| 24亚纳斯遂把被捆的耶稣，解送到大司祭盖法那里去。 | 24And Annas sent him bound to Caiphas the high priest. |
| 25西满伯多禄仍站着烤火取煖，于是有人向他说：「你不也是他门徒中的一个吗？」伯多禄否认说：「我不是。」 | 25And Simon Peter was standing, and warming himself. They said therefore to him: Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said: I am not. |
| 26有大司祭的一个仆役，是伯多禄削下耳朵的那人的亲戚，对他说：「我不是在山园中看见你同他在一起吗？」 | 26One of the servants of the high priest (a kinsman to him whose ear Peter cut off) saith to him: Did I not see thee in the garden with him? |
| 27伯多禄又否认了，立时鸡就叫了。 | 27Again therefore Peter denied; and immediately the cock crew. |
| 28然后他们从盖法那里把耶稣解往总督府，那时是清晨；他们自己却没有进入总督府，怕受了沾污，而不能吃逾越节的羔羊。 | 28Then they led Jesus from Caiphas to the governor's hall. And it was morning; and they went not into the hall, that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the pasch. |
| 29因此，比拉多出来，到外面向他们说：「你们对这人提出什么控告？」 | 29Pilate therefore went out to them, and said: What accusation bring you against this man? |
| 30他们回答说：「如果这人不是作恶的，我们便不会把他交给你。」 | 30They answered, and said to him: If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up to thee. |
| 31比拉多便对他们说：「你们自己把他带去，按照你们的法律审判他罢！」犹太人回答说：「我们是不许处死任何人的！」 | 31Pilate therefore said to them: Take him you, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said to him: It is not lawful for us to put any man to death; |
| 32这是为应验耶稣论及自己将怎样死去而说过的话。 | 32That the word of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he said, signifying what death he should die. |
| 33比拉多于是又进了总督府，叫了耶稣来，对他说：「你是犹太人的君王吗？」 | 33Pilate therefore went into the hall again, and called Jesus, and said to him: Art thou the king of the Jews? |
| 34耶稣答复说：「这话是你由自己说的，或是别人论我而对你说的？」 | 34Jesus answered: Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or have others told it thee of me? |
| 35比拉多答说：「莫非我是个犹太人？你的民族和司祭长把你交付给我，你作了什么？」 | 35Pilate answered: Am I a Jew? Thy own nation, and the chief priests, have delivered thee up to me: what hast thou done? |
| 36耶稣回答说：「我的国不属于这世界；假使我的国属于这世界，我的臣民早已反抗了，使我不至于被交给犹太人；但是，我的国不是这世界的。」 | 36Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would certainly strive that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now my kingdom is not from hence. |
| 37于是比拉多对他说：「那么，你就是君王了？」耶稣回答说：「你说的是，我是君王。我为此而生，我也为此而来到世界上，为给真理作证：凡属于真理的，必听从我的声音。」 | 37Pilate therefore said to him: Art thou a king then? Jesus answered: Thou sayest that I am a king. For this was I born, and for this came I into the world; that I should give testimony to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth my voice. |
| 38比拉多遂说：「什么是真理？」说了这话，再出去到犹太人那里，向他们说：「我在这人身上查不出什么罪状来。 | 38Pilate saith to him: What is truth? And when he said this, he went out again to the Jews, and saith to them: I find no cause in him. |
| 39你们有个惯例：在逾越节我该给你们释放一人；那么，你们愿意我给你们释放犹太人的君王吗？」 | 39But you have a custom that I should release one unto you at the pasch: will you, therefore, that I release unto you the king of the Jews? |
| 40他们就大声喊说：「不要这人，而要巴辣巴！」巴辣巴原是个强盗。 | 40Then cried they all again, saying: Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. |
