| 1那时，有成千累万的群众集合拢来，竟至互相践踏。耶稣开始先对自己的门徒说：「你们要谨防法利塞人的酵母，即他们的虚伪。 | 1And when great multitudes stood about him, so that they trod one upon another, he began to say to his disciples: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. |
| 2但是，没有遮掩的事，将来不被揭露的；也没有隐藏的事，将来不被知道的。 | 2For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed: nor hidden, that shall not be known. |
| 3因此，你们在暗处所说的，将来必要在明处被人听见；在内室附耳所说的，将来必要在屋顶上张扬出来。 | 3For whatsoever things you have spoken in darkness, shall be published in the light: and that which you have spoken in the ear in the chambers, shall be preached on the housetops. |
| 4我告诉你们做我朋友的人们：你们不要害怕那些杀害肉身，而后不能更有所为的人。 | 4And I say to you, my friends: Be not afraid of them who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. |
| 5我要指给你们，谁是你们所应怕的：你们应当害怕那杀了以后，有权柄把人投入地狱的那一位；的确，我告诉你们：应当害怕这一位！ | 5But I will shew you whom you shall fear: fear ye him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell. Yea, I say to you, fear him. |
| 6五只麻雀不是卖两文铜钱吗？然而在天主前，他们中没有一只被遗忘的。 | 6Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? |
| 7就是你们的头发，也一一被数过了；你们不要害怕！你们比许多麻雀尊贵多了。 | 7Yea, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows. |
| 8我告诉你们：凡在人前承认我的，人子将来也要在天主的使者前承认他； | 8And I say to you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God. |
| 9在人前否认我的，将来在天主的使者前也要被否认。 | 9But he that shall deny me before men, shall be denied before the angels of God. |
| 10凡出言干犯人子的，尚可获得赦免；但是，亵渎圣神的人，决不能获得赦免。 | 10And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but to him that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven. |
| 11当人押送你们到会堂，到官长及有权柄的人面前时，你们不要思虑怎样申辩，或说什么话， | 11And when they shall bring you into the synagogues, and to magistrates and powers, be not solicitous how or what you shall answer, or what you shall say; |
| 12因为在那个时刻，圣神必要教给你们应说的话。」 | 12For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what you must say. |
| 13人群中有一个人向耶稣说：「师傅，请吩咐我的兄弟与我分家罢！」 | 13And one of the multitude said to him: Master, speak to my brother that he divide the inheritance with me. |
| 14耶稣对他说：「人哪，谁立了我做你们的判官及分家人呢？」 | 14But he said to him: Man, who hath appointed me judge, or divider, over you? |
| 15遂对他们说：「你们要谨慎，躲避一切贪婪，因为一个人纵然富裕，他的生命并不在于他的资产。」 | 15And he said to them: Take heed and beware of all covetousness; for a man's life doth not consist in the abundance of things which he possesseth. |
| 16耶稣对他们设了一个比喻说：「有一个富人，他的田地出产丰富。 | 16And he spoke a similitude to them, saying: The land of a certain rich man brought forth plenty of fruits. |
| 17他心里想道：我可怎么办呢？因为我已没有地方收藏我的物产。 | 17And he thought within himself, saying: What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? |
| 18他遂说：我要这样做：我要拆毁我的仓房，另建更大的，好在那里收藏我的一切谷类及财物。 | 18And he said: This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and will build greater; and into them will I gather all things that are grown to me, and my goods. |
| 19以后，我要对我的灵魂说：灵魂哪！你存有大量的财物，足够多年之用，你休息罢！吃喝宴乐罢！ | 19And I will say to my soul: Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years take thy rest; eat, drink, make good cheer. |
| 20天主却给他说：糊涂人哪！今夜就要索回你的灵魂，你所备置的，将归谁呢？ | 20But God said to him: Thou fool, this night do they require thy soul of thee: and whose shall those things be which thou hast provided? |
| 21那为自己厚积财产而不在天主前致富的，也是如此。」 | 21So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich towards God. |
| 22耶稣对他的门徒说：「为此，我告诉你们：不要为生命思虑吃什么，也不要为身体思虑穿什么， | 22And he said to his disciples: Therefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat; nor for your body, what you shall put on. |
| 23因为生命贵于食物，身体贵于衣服。 | 23The life is more than the meat, and the body is more than the raiment. |
| 24你们看看乌鸦，牠们不播种，也不收割；牠们没有库房，也没有仓廪，天主尚且养活牠们，你们比起飞鸟更要尊贵多少呢？ | 24Consider the ravens, for they sow not, neither do they reap, neither have they storehouse nor barn, and God feedeth them. How much are you more valuable than they? |
| 25你们中谁能运用思虑，使自己的寿数增加一肘呢？ | 25And which of you, by taking thought, can add to his stature one cubit? |
| 26如果你们连极小的事还做不来，为什么要思虑别的事呢？ | 26If then ye be not able to do so much as the least thing, why are you solicitous for the rest? |
| 27你们看看百合花，是怎样生长的：它们不劳作，也不纺织；可是，我告诉你们：连撒罗满在他极盛的荣华时所披戴的，也不如这些花中的一朵。 | 27Consider the lilies, how they grow: they labour not, neither do they spin. But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these. |
| 28田野间的野草，今天还在，明天就投入炉中，天主尚且这样装饰，何况你们呢！小信德的人啊！ | 28Now if God clothe in this manner the grass that is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more you, O ye of little faith? |
| 29你们不要谋求吃什么，喝什么，也不要忧愁挂心， | 29And seek not you what you shall eat, or what you shall drink: and be not lifted up on high. |
| 30因为这一切都是世上的外邦人所寻求的，至于你们，你们的父知道你们需要这些。 | 30For all these things do the nations of the world seek. But your Father knoweth that you have need of these things. |
| 31你们只要寻求他的国，这些自会加给你们。」 | 31But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you. |
| 32「你们小小的羊群，不要害怕！因为你们的父喜欢把天国赐给你们。 | 32Fear not, little flock, for it hath pleased your Father to give you a kingdom. |
| 33要变卖你们所有的来施舍，为你们自己备下经久不朽的钱囊，在天上备下取用不尽的宝藏；那里盗贼不能走近，蠹虫也不能损坏， | 33Sell what you possess and give alms. Make to yourselves bags which grow not old, a treasure in heaven which faileth not: where no thief approacheth, nor moth corrupteth. |
| 34因为你们的宝藏在那里，你们的心也必在那里。」 | 34For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. |
| 35「要把你们的腰束起，把灯点着； | 35Let your loins be girt, and lamps burning in your hands. |
| 36应当如同那些等候自己的主人，由婚筵回来的人，为的是主人来到，一敲门，立刻就给他开门。 | 36And you yourselves like to men who wait for their lord, when he shall return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately. |
| 37主人来到时，遇见醒寤着的那些仆人，是有福的。我实在告诉你们：主人要束上腰，请他们坐席，自己前来伺候他们。 | 37Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh, shall find watching. Amen I say to you, that he will gird himself, and make them sit down to meat, and passing will minister unto them. |
| 38他二更来也罢，三更来也罢，若遇见这样，那些人才是有福的。 | 38And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. |
| 39你们应该明白这一点：如果家主知道盗贼何时要来，【他必要醒寤，】决不容自己的房屋被挖穿。 | 39But this know ye, that if the householder did know at what hour the thief would come, he would surely watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken open. |
| 40你们也应当准备，因为在你们不料想的时辰，人子就来了。」 | 40Be you then also ready: for at what hour you think not, the Son of man will come. |
| 41伯多禄说：「主，你讲的这个比喻，是为我们呢，还是为众人？」 | 41And Peter said to him: Lord, dost thou speak this parable to us, or likewise to all? |
| 42主说：「究竟谁是那忠信及精明的管家，主人派他管理自己的家仆，按时配给食粮？ | 42And the Lord said: Who (thinkest thou) is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord setteth over his family, to give them their measure of wheat in due season? |
| 43主人来时，看见他如此行事，那仆人才是有福的。 | 43Blessed is that servant, whom when his lord shall come, he shall find so doing. |
| 44我实在告诉你们：主人必要委派他，管理自己的一切财产。 | 44Verily I say to you, he will set him over all that he possesseth. |
| 45如果那个仆人心里说：我的主人必然迟来；他便开始拷打仆婢，也吃也喝也醉酒。 | 45But if that servant shall say in his heart: My lord is long a coming; and shall begin to strike the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and to drink and be drunk: |
| 46在他不期待的日子，不知觉的时刻，那仆人的主人要来，必要铲除他，使他与不信者遭受同样的命运。 | 46The lord of that servant will come in the day that he hopeth not, and at the hour that he knoweth not, and shall separate him, and shall appoint him his portion with unbelievers. |
| 47那知道主人的旨意，而偏不准备，或竟不奉行他旨意的仆人，必然要多受拷打； | 47And that servant who knew the will of his lord, and prepared not himself, and did not according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. |
| 48那不知道而做了应受拷打之事的，要少受拷打。给谁的多，向谁要的也多；交托谁的多，向谁索取的也格外多。」 | 48But he that knew not, and did things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. And unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required: and to whom they have committed much, of him they will demand the more. |
| 49「我来是为把火投在地上，我是多么切望它已经燃烧起来！ | 49I am come to cast fire on the earth; and what will I, but that it be kindled? |
| 50我有一种应受的洗礼，我是如何焦急，直到它得以完成！ | 50And I have a baptism wherewith I am to be baptized: and how am I straitened until it be accomplished? |
| 51你们以为我来是给地上送和平吗？不，我告诉你们：而是来送分裂。 | 51Think ye, that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, no; but separation. |
| 52因为从今以后，一家五口的，将要分裂：三个反对两个，两个反对三个。 | 52For there shall be from henceforth five in one house divided: three against two, and two against three. |
| 53他们将要分裂：父亲反对儿子，儿子反对父亲；母亲反对女儿，女儿反对母亲；婆母反对儿媳，儿媳反对婆母。」 | 53The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against his father, the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother, the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. |
| 54耶稣又向群众说：「几时你们看见云彩由西方升起，立刻就说：要下大雨了；果然是这样。 | 54And he said also to the multitudes: When you see a cloud rising from the west, presently you say: A shower is coming: and so it happeneth: |
| 55几时南风吹来，就说：天要热了；果然是这样。 | 55And when ye see the south wind blow, you say: There will be heat: and it cometh to pass. |
| 56假善人哪！你们知道观察地上及天上的气象，怎么不能观察这个时机呢？ | 56You hypocrites, you know how to discern the face of the heaven and of the earth: but how is it that you do not discern this time? |
| 57你们为什么不能由自己来辨别正义的事呢？ | 57And why even of yourselves, do you not judge that which is just? |
| 58当你同你的对头去见官长时，尚在路上，你得设法与他了结，怕他拉你到法官前，法官把你交给刑役，而刑役把你押在狱中。 | 58And when thou goest with thy adversary to the prince, whilst thou art in the way, endeavour to be delivered from him: lest perhaps he draw thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the exacter, and the exacter cast thee into prison. |
| 59我告诉你：非等你还清最后的一分钱，断不能那里出来。」 | 59I say to thee, thou shalt not go out thence, until thou pay the very last mite. |
