¹众税吏及罪人们都来接近耶稣，为听他讲道。	¹Now the publicans and sinners drew near unto him to hear him.
²法利塞人及经师们窃窃私议说：「这个人交接罪人，又同他们吃饭。」	²And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying: This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
³耶稣遂对他们设了这个比喻说：	³And he spoke to them this parable, saying:
⁴「你们中间那个人有一百只羊，遗失了其中的一只，而不把这九十九只丢在荒野，去寻觅那遗失的一只，直到找着呢？	⁴What man of you that hath an hundred sheep: and if he shall lose one of them, doth he not leave the ninety-nine in the desert, and go after that which was lost, until he find it?
⁵待找着了，就喜欢的把牠放在自己的肩膀上，	⁵And when he hath found it, lay it upon his shoulders, rejoicing:
⁶来到家中，请他的友好及邻人来，给他们说：你们与我同乐罢！因为我那只遗失了的羊，又找到了。	⁶And coming home, call together his friends and neighbours, saying to them: Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost?
⁷我告诉你们：同样，对于一个罪人悔改，在天上所有的欢乐，甚于对那九十九个无须悔改的义人。」	⁷I say to you, that even so there shall be joy in heaven upon one sinner that doth penance, more than upon ninety-nine just who need not penance.
⁸「或者那个妇女，有十个『达玛』，若遗失了一个『达玛』，而不点上灯，打扫房屋，细心寻找，直到找着呢？	⁸Or what woman having ten groats; if she lose one groat, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it?
⁹待找着了，她就请女友及邻人来说：你们与我同乐罢！因为我失去的那个『达玛』又找到了。	⁹And when she hath found it, call together her friends and neighbours, saying: Rejoice with me, because I have found the groat which I had lost.
¹⁰我告诉你们：对于一个罪人悔改，在天主的使者前，也是这样欢乐。」	¹⁰So I say to you, there shall be joy before the angels of God upon one sinner doing penance.
¹¹耶稣又说：「一个人有两个儿子，	¹¹And he said: A certain man had two sons:
¹²那小的向父亲说：父亲，请把我应得的一分家产给我罢！父亲遂把产业给他们分开了。	¹²And the younger of them said to his father: Father, give me the portion of substance that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his substance.
¹³过了不多几天，小儿子把所有的一切都收拾起来，就往远方去了。他在那里荒淫度日，耗费他的资财。	¹³And not many days after, the younger son, gathering all together, went abroad into a far country: and there wasted his substance, living riotously.
¹⁴当他把所有的都挥霍尽了以后，那地方正遇着大荒年，他便开始穷困起来。	¹⁴And after he had spent all, there came a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.
¹⁵他去投靠一个当地的居民；那人打发他到自己的庄田上去放猪。	¹⁵And he went and cleaved to one of the citizens of that country. And he sent him into his farm to feed swine.
¹⁶他恨不能拿猪吃的豆荚来果腹，可是没有人给他。	¹⁶And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks the swine did eat; and no man gave unto him.
¹⁷他反躬自问：我父亲有多少佣工，都口粮丰盛，我在这里反要饿死！	¹⁷And returning to himself, he said: How many hired servants in my father's house abound with bread, and I here perish with hunger?
¹⁸我要起身到我父亲那里去，并且要给他说：父亲！我得罪了天，也得罪了你。	¹⁸I will arise, and will go to my father, and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee:
¹⁹我不配再称作你的儿子，把我当作你的一个佣工罢！	¹⁹I am not worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
²⁰他便起身到他父亲那里去了。他离的还远的时候，他父亲就看见了他，动了怜悯的心，跑上前去，扑到他的脖子上，热情地亲吻他。	²⁰And rising up he came to his father. And when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and running to him fell upon his neck, and kissed him.
²¹儿子向他说：父亲，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，我不配再称作你的儿子了！	²¹And the son said to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, I am not now worthy to be called thy son.
²²父亲却吩咐自己的仆人说：你们快拿出上等的袍子来给他穿上，把戒指戴在他手上，给他脚上穿上鞋，	²²And the father said to his servants: Bring forth quickly the first robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
²³再把那只肥牛犊牵来宰了，我们应吃喝欢宴，	²³And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it, and let us eat and make merry:
²⁴因为我个儿子是死而复生，失而复得了；他们就欢宴起来。	²⁴Because this my son was dead, and is come to life again: was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
²⁵那时，他的长子正在田地里，当他回来快到家的时候，听见有奏乐及歌舞的欢声，	²⁵Now his elder son was in the field, and when he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing:
²⁶遂叫一个仆人过来，问他这是什么事。	²⁶And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
²⁷仆人向他说：你弟弟回来了，你父亲因为见他无恙归来，便为他宰了那只肥牛犊。	²⁷And he said to him: Thy brother is come, and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe.
²⁸长子就生气不肯进去，他父亲遂出来劝解他。	²⁸And he was angry, and would not go in. His father therefore coming out began to entreat him.
²⁹他回答父亲说：你看，这些年来我服事你，从未违背过你的命令，而你从未给过我一只小山羊，让我同我的朋友们欢宴；	²⁹And he answering, said to his father: Behold, for so many years do I serve thee, and I have never transgressed thy commandment, and yet thou hast never given me a kid to make merry with my friends:
³⁰但你这个儿子同娼妓们耗尽了你的财产，他一回来，你倒为他宰了那只肥牛犊。	³⁰But as soon as this thy son is come, who hath devoured his substance with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
³¹父亲给他说：孩子！你常同我在一起，凡我所有的，都是你的；	³¹But he said to him: Son, thou art always with me, and all I have is thine.
³²只因为你这个弟弟死而复生，失而复得，应当欢宴喜乐！」	³²But it was fit that we should make merry and be glad, for this thy brother was dead and is come to life again; he was lost, and is found.
