¹一到清晨，司祭长、长老及经师，和全体公议会商讨完毕，就把耶稣捆绑了，解送给比拉多。	¹And straightway in the morning, the chief priests holding a consultation with the ancients and the scribes and the whole council, binding Jesus, led him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
²比拉多问他说：「你是犹太人的君王吗？」耶稣回答说：「你说的是。」	²And Pilate asked him: Art thou the king of the Jews? But he answering, saith to him: Thou sayest it.
³司祭长控告他许多事；	³And the chief priests accused him in many things.
⁴比拉多又问他说：「你看，他们控告你这么多的事，你什么都不回答吗？」	⁴And Pilate again asked him, saying: Answerest thou nothing? behold in how many things they accuse thee.
⁵耶稣仍没有回答什么，以致比拉多大为惊异。	⁵But Jesus still answered nothing; so that Pilate wondered.
⁶每逢节日，总督惯常给民众释放一个他们所要求的囚犯。	⁶Now on the festival day he was wont to release unto them one of the prisoners, whomsoever they demanded.
⁷当时，有一个名叫巴辣巴的，他是与那些在暴动中杀人的暴徒一同被囚的。	⁷And there was one called Barabbas, who was put in prison with some seditious men, who in the sedition had committed murder.
⁸群众上去，要求照常给他们办理。	⁸And when the multitude was come up, they began to desire that he would do, as he had ever done unto them.
⁹比拉多回答他们说：「你们愿意我给你们释放犹太人的君王吗？」	⁹And Pilate answered them, and said: Will you that I release to you the king of the Jews?
¹⁰他原知道司祭长是由于嫉妒才把耶稣解送来的。	¹⁰For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him up out of envy.
¹¹但是，司祭长却煽动群众，宁要给他们释放巴辣巴。	¹¹But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas to them.
¹²比拉多又向他们说：「那么，对你们所称的犹太人君王，我可怎么办呢？」	¹²And Pilate again answering, saith to them: What will you then that I do to the king of the Jews?
¹³他们又喊说：「钉他在十字架上！」	¹³But they again cried out: Crucify him.
¹⁴比拉多对他们说：「他作了什么恶事？」他们越发喊说：「钉他在十字架上！」	¹⁴And Pilate saith to them: Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more: Crucify him.
¹⁵比拉多愿意满足群众，就给他们释放了巴辣巴，把耶稣鞭打后，交给他们，钉在十字架上。	¹⁵And so Pilate being willing to satisfy the people, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
¹⁶兵士把耶稣带到庭院里面，即总督府内，把全队叫齐，	¹⁶And the soldiers led him away into the court of the palace, and they called together the whole band:
¹⁷给耶稣穿上紫红袍，编了一个茨冠给他戴上，	¹⁷And they clothe him with purple, and platting a crown of thorns, they put it upon him.
¹⁸开始向他致敬说：「犹太人的君王，万岁！」	¹⁸And they began to salute him: Hail, king of the Jews.
¹⁹然后用一根芦苇敲他的头，向他吐唾沫，屈膝朝拜他。	¹⁹And they struck his head with a reed: and they did spit on him. And bowing their knees, they adored him.
²⁰他们戏弄了耶稣之后，就给他脱去紫红袍，给他穿上他自己的衣服，然后带他出去，把他钉在十字架上。	²⁰And after they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own garments on him, and they led him out to crucify him.
²¹有一个基勒乃人西满，是亚历山大和鲁富的父亲，他从田间来，正路过那里，他们就强迫他背耶稣的十字架。	²¹And they forced one Simon a Cyrenian who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and of Rufus, to take up his cross.
²²他们将耶稣带到哥耳哥达地方，解说「髑髅」的地方，	²²And they bring him into the place called Golgotha, which being interpreted is, The place of Calvary.
²³就拿没药调和的酒给他喝，耶稣却没有接受。	²³And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh; but he took it not.
²⁴他们就将他钉在十字架上，并把他的衣服分开，拈阄，看谁得什么。	²⁴And crucifying him, they divided his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.
²⁵他们把耶稣钉在十字架上时，正是第三时辰。	²⁵And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
²⁶他的罪状牌上写的是：「犹太人的君王。」	²⁶And the inscription of his cause was written over: THE KING OF THE JEWS.
²⁷与他一起还钉了两个强盗：一个在他右边，一个在他左边。	²⁷And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
²⁸【这就应验了经上所说的：『他被列于叛逆之中。』】	²⁸And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith: And with the wicked he was reputed.
²⁹路过的人都侮辱他，摇着头说：「哇！你这拆毁圣殿，三天内重建起来的，	²⁹And they that passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying: Vah, thou that destroyest the temple of God, and in three days buildest it up again;
³⁰你从十字架上下来，救你自己罢！」	³⁰Save thyself, coming down from the cross.
³¹同样，司祭长与经师也讥笑他，彼此说：「他救了别人，却救不了自己！	³¹In like manner also the chief priests mocking, said with the scribes one to another: He saved others; himself he cannot save.
³²默西亚，以色列的君王！现在从十字架上下来罢，叫我们看了好相信！」连与他一起钉在十字架上的人也辱骂他。	³²Let Christ the king of Israel come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.
³³到了第六时辰，遍地昏黑，直到第九时辰。	³³And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole earth until the ninth hour.
³⁴在第九时辰，耶稣大声呼号说：「厄罗依，厄罗依，肋玛，撒巴黑塔尼？」意思是：「我的天主，我的天主，你为什么舍弃了我？」	³⁴And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying: Eloi, Eloi, lamma sabacthani? Which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
³⁵旁边站着的人中有的听见了，就说：「看，他呼唤厄里亚呢！」	³⁵And some of the standers by hearing, said: Behold he calleth Elias.
³⁶有一个人就跑过去，把海绵浸满了醋，绑在芦苇上，递给他喝，说：「等一等，我们看，是否厄里亚来将他卸下。」	³⁶And one running and filling a sponge with vinegar, and putting it upon a reed, gave him to drink, saying: Stay, let us see if Elias come to take him down.
³⁷耶稣大喊一声，就断了气。	³⁷And Jesus having cried out with a loud voice, gave up the ghost.
³⁸圣所里的帐幔，从上到下，分裂为二。	³⁸And the veil of the temple was rent in two, from the top to the bottom.
³⁹对面站着的百夫长，看见耶稣这样断了气，就说：「这人真是天主子！」	³⁹And the centurion who stood over against him, seeing that crying out in this manner he had given up the ghost, said: Indeed this man was the son of God.
⁴⁰还有些妇女从远处观望，其中有玛利亚玛达肋纳，次雅各伯和若瑟的母亲玛利亚及撒罗默。	⁴⁰And there were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalen, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joseph, and Salome:
⁴¹她们当耶稣在加里肋亚时，就跟随了他，服事他；还有许多别的与耶稣同上耶路撒冷来的妇女。	⁴¹Who also when he was in Galilee followed him, and ministered to him, and many other women that came up with him to Jerusalem.
⁴²到了傍晚，因为是预备日，就是安息日的前一天，	⁴²And when evening was now come, (because it was the Parasceve, that is, the day before the sabbath,)
⁴³来了一个阿黎玛特雅人若瑟，他是一位显贵的议员，也是期待天国的人。他大胆地进见比拉多，要求耶稣的遗体。	⁴³Joseph of Arimathea, a noble counsellor, who was also himself looking for the kingdom of God, came and went in boldly to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus.
⁴⁴比拉多惊异耶稣已经死了，遂叫百夫长来，问他耶稣是否已死。	⁴⁴But Pilate wondered that he should be already dead. And sending for the centurion, he asked him if he were already dead.
⁴⁵既从百夫长口中得知了实情，就把尸体赐给了若瑟。	⁴⁵And when he had understood it by the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.
⁴⁶若瑟买了殓布，把耶稣卸下来，用殓布裹好，把他安放在巖石中凿成的坟墓里；然后把一块石头滚到坟墓门口。	⁴⁶And Joseph buying fine linen, and taking him down, wrapped him up in the fine linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewed out of a rock. And he rolled a stone to the door of the sepulchre.
⁴⁷那时，玛利亚玛达肋纳和若瑟的母亲玛利亚，留心观看安放耶稣的地方。	⁴⁷And Mary Magdalen, and Mary the mother of Joseph, beheld where he was laid.
