¹过了一些日子，耶稣又进了葛法翁，人听说他在家里，	¹And again he entered into Capharnaum after some days.
²就聚来了许多人，以致连门前也不能再容纳，他就对他们讲道。	²And it was heard that he was in the house, and many came together, so that there was no room; no, not even at the door; and he spoke to them the word.
³那时，有人带着一个瘫子到他这里来，由四个人抬着；	³And they came to him, bringing one sick of the palsy, who was carried by four.
⁴但因为人众多，不能送到他面前，就在耶稣所在之处，拆开了房顶；拆穿之后，把床缒下去，瘫子在上面躺着。	⁴And when they could not offer him unto him for the multitude, they uncovered the roof where he was; and opening it, they let down the bed wherein the man sick of the palsy lay.
⁵耶稣一见他们的信心，就对瘫子说：「孩子！你的罪赦了。」	⁵And when Jesus had seen their faith, he saith to the sick of the palsy: Son, thy sins are forgiven thee.
⁶那时，有几个经师坐在那里，心里忖度说：	⁶And there were some of the scribes sitting there, and thinking in their hearts:
⁷「怎么这人这样说话呢？他说了亵渎的话；除了天主一个外，谁能赦罪呢？」	⁷Why doth this man speak thus? he blasphemeth. Who can forgive sins, but God only?
⁸耶稣凭自己的神力，即刻认透了他们私自这样忖度，遂向他们说：「你们心中为什么这样忖度呢？	⁸Which Jesus presently knowing in his spirit, that they so thought within themselves, saith to them: Why think you these things in your hearts?
⁹什么比较容易呢？是对瘫子说：你的罪赦了；还是说：起来，拿你的床走？	⁹Which is easier, to say to the sick of the palsy: Thy sins are forgiven thee; or to say: Arise, take up thy bed, and walk?
¹⁰但为叫你们知道：人子在地上有权柄赦罪──遂对瘫子说：	¹⁰But that you may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
¹¹我给你说：起来，拿你的床，回家去罢！」	¹¹I say to thee: Arise, take up thy bed, and go into thy house.
¹²那人遂起来，立刻拿起床，当着众人的面走出去了，以致众人大为惊愕，遂光荣天主说：「我们从未见过这样的事！」	¹²And immediately he arose; and taking up his bed, went his way in the sight of all; so that all wondered and glorified God, saying: We never saw the like.
¹³耶稣又出去，到了海边，群众都到他跟前，他便教训他们。	¹³And he went forth again to the sea side; and all the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
¹⁴当他前行时，看见阿耳斐的儿子肋未坐在税关上，便向他说：「你跟随我罢！」肋未就起来跟随了耶稣。	¹⁴And when he was passing by, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus sitting at the receipt of custom; and he saith to him: Follow me. And rising up, he followed him.
¹⁵当耶稣在肋未家中坐席的时候，有许多税吏和罪人，也与耶稣和他的门徒一起坐席，因为已有许多人跟随了他。	¹⁵And it came to pass, that as he sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat down together with Jesus and his disciples. For they were many, who also followed him.
¹⁶法利塞党的经师看见耶稣与罪人和税吏一起吃饭，就对他的门徒说：「怎么，他与罪人和税吏一起吃喝？」	¹⁶And the scribes and the Pharisees, seeing that he ate with publicans and sinners, said to his disciples: Why doth your master eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
¹⁷耶稣听了，就对他们说：「不是健康的人需要医生，而是有病的人；我不是来召义人，而是召罪人。」	¹⁷Jesus hearing this, saith to them: They that are well have no need of a physician, but they that are sick. For I came not to call the just, but sinners.
¹⁸当时，若翰的门徒和法利塞人正在禁食，有人来向耶稣说：「为什么若翰的门徒和法利塞人门徒禁食，而你的门徒却不禁食呢？」	¹⁸And the disciples of John and the Pharisees used to fast; and they come and say to him: Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast; but thy disciples do not fast?
¹⁹耶稣对他们说：「伴郎岂能在新郎还与他们在一起的时候禁食？他们与新郎在一起的时候，决不能禁食。	¹⁹And Jesus saith to them: Can the children of the marriage fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
²⁰但日子将要来到：当新郎从他们中被劫去时，在那一天，他们就要禁食了。	²⁰But the days will come when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them; and then they shall fast in those days.
²¹没有人将未漂过的布补在旧衣服上的；不然，补上的那块新布要扯裂了旧的，破绽就更加坏了。	²¹No man seweth a piece of raw cloth to an old garment: otherwise the new piecing taketh away from the old, and there is made a greater rent.
²²也没有人把新酒装在旧皮囊里的；不然，酒涨破了皮囊，酒和皮囊都丧失了；而是新酒应装在新皮囊里。」	²²And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: otherwise the wine will burst the bottles, and both the wine will be spilled, and the bottles will be lost. But new wine must be put into new bottles.
²³有一次，正当安息日，耶稣从麦田里路过，他的门徒在行路时掐食起麦穗来。	²³And it came to pass again, as the Lord walked through the corn fields on the sabbath, that his disciples began to go forward, and to pluck the ears of corn.
²⁴法利塞人向耶稣说：「你看！他们为什么做安息日不许做的事？」	²⁴And the Pharisees said to him: Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
²⁵耶稣对他们说：「你们从未读过：达味在急迫中和同他一起的人，在饥饿时所作的事吗？	²⁵And he said to them: Have you never read what David did when he had need, and was hungry himself, and they that were with him?
²⁶当厄贝雅塔尔作大司祭时，达味怎样进了天主的殿，吃了除司祭外，谁也不许吃的供饼，并且还给了同他一起的人？」	²⁶How he went into the house of God, under Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the loaves of proposition, which was not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave to them who were with him?
²⁷耶稣又对他们说：「安息日是为人立的，并不是人为了安息日；	²⁷And he said to them: The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath.
²⁸所以，人子也是安息日的主。」	²⁸Therefore the Son of man is Lord of the sabbath also.
