¹法利塞人和一些从耶路撒冷来的经师，聚集到耶稣跟前。	¹And there assembled together unto him the Pharisees and some of the scribes, coming from Jerusalem.
²他们曾看见他的几个门徒用不洁的手，就是用没有洗过的手吃饭──	²And when they had seen some of his disciples eat bread with common, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault.
³原来，法利塞人和所有的犹太人，都拘守先人的传授：若不仔细洗手，就不吃饭；	³For the Pharisees, and all the Jews eat not without often washing their hands, holding the tradition of the ancients:
⁴从街市上回来，若不先沐浴，也不吃饭；还有其他许多按传授应拘守的事：如洗杯，洗壶，洗铜器等──	⁴And when they come from the market, unless they be washed, they eat not: and many other things there are that have been delivered to them to observe, the washings of cups and of pots, and of brazen vessels, and of beds.
⁵法利塞人和经师们就问耶稣说：「你的门徒为什么不遵守先人的传授，而用不洁的手吃饭？」	⁵And the Pharisees and scribes asked him: Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the ancients, but they eat bread with common hands?
⁶耶稣对他们说：「依撒意亚论你们这些假善人预言的真好，正如所记载的：『这民族用嘴唇尊敬我，他们的心却远离我。	⁶But he answering, said to them: Well did Isaias prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
⁷他们恭敬我，也是虚假的，因为他们所讲授的教义，是人的规律。』	⁷And in vain do they worship me, teaching doctrines and precepts of men.
⁸你们离弃天主的诫命，而只拘守人的传授。」	⁸For leaving the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men, the washing of pots and of cups: and many other things you do like to these.
⁹又向他们说：「真好啊！你们为拘守你们的传授，竟废除了天主的诫命。	⁹And he said to them: Well do you make void the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.
¹⁰梅瑟原说过：『你该孝敬你的父亲及你的母亲』；又说：『咒骂了父亲或母亲的，应处以死刑』。	¹⁰For Moses said: Honour thy father and thy mother; and He that shall curse father or mother, dying let him die.
¹¹你们却说：人若对父亲或母亲说：我所能供养你的，已成了『科尔班』，即『献仪』，	¹¹But you say: If a man shall say to his father or mother, Corban, (which is a gift,) whatsoever is from me, shall profit thee.
¹²那么就准许那人不必再为父母做什么了：	¹²And further you suffer him not to do any thing for his father or mother,
¹³这样你们便为了你们所传授的遗教，废弃了天主的话；并且你们还行了许多其他诸如此类的事。」	¹³Making void the word of God by your own tradition, which you have given forth. And many other such like things you do.
¹⁴耶稣又叫过群众来，对他们说：「你们都要听我，且要明白！	¹⁴And calling again the multitude unto him, he said to them: Hear ye me all, and understand.
¹⁵不是从人外面进入他内的，能污秽人，而是从人里面出来的，才污秽人。	¹⁵There is nothing from without a man that entering into him, can defile him. But the things which come from a man, those are they that defile a man.
¹⁶凡有耳听的，听罢！」	¹⁶If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
¹⁷耶稣离开群众，回到家里，他的门徒便问他这比喻的意义。	¹⁷And when he was come into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked him the parable.
¹⁸耶稣就给他们说：「怎么，连你们也不明白吗？你们不晓得：凡从外面进入人内的，不能使人污秽，	¹⁸And he saith to them: So are you also without knowledge? understand you not that every thing from without, entering into a man cannot defile him:
¹⁹因为进不到他的心，但到他的肚腹内，再排泄到厕所里去吗？」──他这是说一切食物都是洁净的。	¹⁹Because it entereth not into his heart, but goeth into the belly, and goeth out into the privy, purging all meats?
²⁰耶稣又说：「凡从人里面出来的，那才使人污秽，	²⁰But he said that the things which come out from a man, they defile a man.
²¹因为从里面，从人心里出来的是些恶念、邪淫、盗窃、凶杀、	²¹For from within out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
²²奸淫、贪吝、毒辣、诡诈、放荡、嫉妒、毁谤、骄傲、愚妄：	²²Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
²³这一切恶事，都是从内里出来的，并且使人污秽。」	²³All these evil things come from within, and defile a man.
²⁴耶稣从那里起身，往提洛和漆冬境内去了。他进了一家，不愿任何人知道，但是不能隐藏。	²⁴And rising from thence he went into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon: and entering into a house, he would that no man should know it, and he could not be hid.
²⁵当下就有一个妇人，她的女儿附了邪魔，一听说耶稣，就来跪伏在他脚前。	²⁵For a woman as soon as she heard of him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit, came in and fell down at his feet.
²⁶这妇人是个外邦人，生于叙利亞腓尼基；她恳求耶稣把魔鬼从她女儿身上赶出去。	²⁶For the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophenician born. And she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
²⁷耶稣向她说：「应先让儿女们吃饱了，因为拿儿女的饼扔给小狗是不对的。」	²⁷Who said to her: Suffer first the children to be filled: for it is not good to take the bread of the children, and cast it to the dogs.
²⁸那妇人却回答说：「主！是啊！可是小狗在桌子底下，也可吃孩子们的碎屑呢！」	²⁸But she answered and said to him: Yea, Lord; for the whelps also eat under the table of the crumbs of the children.
²⁹耶稣对她说：「为了这句话，你去罢！魔鬼已从你女儿身上出去了。」	²⁹And he said to her: For this saying go thy way, the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
³⁰她一回到自己的家里，看见孩子躺在床上，魔鬼已出去了。	³⁰And when she was come into her house, she found the girl lying upon the bed, and that the devil was gone out.
³¹耶稣又从提洛境内出来，经过漆冬，向着加里肋亚海，到了十城区中心地带。	³¹And again going out of the coasts of Tyre, he came by Sidon to the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
³²有人给他带来一个又聋又哑的人，求他给他覆手。	³²And they bring to him one deaf and dumb; and they besought him that he would lay his hand upon him.
³³耶稣便领他离开群众，来到一边，把手指放进他的耳朵里，并用唾沫，抹他的舌头，	³³And taking him from the multitude apart, he put his fingers into his ears, and spitting, he touched his tongue:
³⁴然后望天叹息，向他说：「厄法达」就是说：「开了罢！」	³⁴And looking up to heaven, he groaned, and said to him: Ephpheta, which is, Be thou opened.
³⁵他的耳朵就立时开了，舌结也解了，说话也清楚了。	³⁵And immediately his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke right.
³⁶耶稣遂嘱咐他们不要告诉任何人；但他越嘱咐他们，他们便越发宣传；	³⁶And he charged them that they should tell no man. But the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal did they publish it.
³⁷人都不胜惊奇说：「他所做的一切都好：使聋子听见，叫哑吧说话。」	³⁷And so much the more did they wonder, saying: He hath done all things well; he hath made both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
