¹当那些日子，又有一大群人，没有什么吃的了。耶稣叫过门徒来，给他们说：	¹In those days again, when there was a great multitude, and had nothing to eat; calling his disciples together, he saith to them:
²「我很怜悯这批群众，因为他们同我在一起已经三天，也没有什么可吃的了。	²I have compassion on the multitude, for behold they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat.
³我若遣散他们空着肚子各自回家，他们必要在路上晕倒；况且他们中还有些是从远处来的。」	³And if I shall send them away fasting to their home, they will faint in the way; for some of them came from afar off.
⁴门徒回答说：「在这荒野里，人从那里能得饼，使这些人吃饱呢？」	⁴And his disciples answered him: From whence can any one fill them here with bread in the wilderness?
⁵耶稣问他们说：「你们有多少饼？」他们说：「七个。」	⁵And he asked them: How many loaves have ye? Who said: Seven.
⁶耶稣就吩咐群众坐在地上，拿起那七个饼来，祝谢了，擘开，递给他的门徒，叫他们分开；他们就给群众分开。	⁶And taking the seven loaves, giving thanks, he broke, and gave to his disciples for to set before them; and they set them before the people.
⁷又有几条小鱼，耶稣祝福后，也吩咐把这些小鱼分开。	⁷And they had a few little fishes; and he blessed them, and commanded them to be set before them.
⁸人都吃饱了，把剩下来的碎块收集了七篮子。	⁸And they did eat and were filled; and they took up that which was left of the fragments, seven baskets.
⁹人数约有四千；然后耶稣遣散了他们，	⁹And they that had eaten were about four thousand; and he sent them away.
¹⁰即刻同门徒上船，来到了达玛奴达境内。	¹⁰And immediately going up into a ship with his disciples, he came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
¹¹法利塞人出来，开始和他辩论，向他要求一个来自天上的征兆，想试探他。	¹¹And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, asking him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
¹²耶稣从心里叹息说：「为什么这一世代要求征兆？我实在告诉你们，必不给这世代一个征兆！」	¹²And sighing deeply in spirit, he saith: Why doth this generation seek a sign? Amen, I say to you, a sign shall not be given to this generation.
¹³他就离开他们，再上船往对岸去了。	¹³And leaving them, he went up again into the ship, and passed to the other side of the water.
¹⁴门徒忘了带饼，在船上除了一个饼外，随身没有带别的食物。	¹⁴And they forgot to take bread; and they had but one loaf with them in the ship.
¹⁵耶稣嘱咐他们说：「你们应当谨慎，提防法利塞人的酵母和黑落德的酵母。」	¹⁵And he charged them, saying: Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.
¹⁶他们彼此议论：他们没有饼了。	¹⁶And they reasoned among themselves, saying: Because we have no bread.
¹⁷耶稣看出来了，就对他们说：「为什么你们议论没有饼了？你们还不明白，还不了解吗？你们的心仍然迟钝吗？	¹⁷Which Jesus knowing, saith to them: Why do you reason, because you have no bread? do you not yet know nor understand? have you still your heart blinded?
¹⁸你们有眼看不见，有耳听不见吗？你们不记得：	¹⁸Having eyes, see you not? and having ears, hear you not? neither do you remember.
¹⁹当我擘开五个饼给五千人的时候，你们收满了几筐碎块？」他们回答说：「十二筐。」	¹⁹When I broke the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took you up? They say to him, Twelve.
²⁰「还有，七个饼给四千人的时候，你们收满了几篮碎块？」他们回答说：「七篮。」	²⁰When also the seven loaves among four thousand, how many baskets of fragments took you up? And they say to him, Seven.
²¹于是耶稣对他们说：「你们还不了解吗？」	²¹And he said to them: How do you not yet understand?
²²他们来到贝特赛达，有人给耶稣送来一个瞎子，求他抚摸他。	²²And they came to Bethsaida; and they bring to him a blind man, and they besought him that he would touch him.
²³耶稣便拉着瞎子的手，领他到村外，在他的眼上吐了唾沬，然后又给他覆手，问他说：「你看见什么没有？」	²³And taking the blind man by the hand, he led him out of the town; and spitting upon his eyes, laying his hands on him, he asked him if he saw any thing.
²⁴他举目一望，说：「我看见人，见他们好像树木在行走。」	²⁴And looking up, he said: I see men as it were trees, walking.
²⁵然后，耶稣又按手在他的眼上，他定睛一看，就复了原，竟能清清楚楚看见一切。	²⁵After that again he laid his hands upon his eyes, and he began to see, and was restored, so that he saw all things clearly.
²⁶耶稣打发他回家去说：「连这村庄你也不要进去。」	²⁶And he sent him into his house, saying: Go into thy house, and if thou enter into the town, tell nobody.
²⁷耶稣和他的门徒起身，往斐理伯的凯撒勒雅附近的村庄去；在路上问自己的门徒说：「人们说我是谁？」	²⁷And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi. And in the way, he asked his disciples, saying to them: Whom do men say that I am?
²⁸他们回答说：「是洗者若翰；也有些人说是厄里亚；还有些人说是先知中的一位。」	²⁸Who answered him, saying: John the Baptist; but some Elias, and others as one of the prophets.
²⁹耶稣又问他们说：「你们说我是谁呢？」伯多禄回答说：「你是默西亚。」	²⁹Then he saith to them: But whom do you say that I am? Peter answering said to him: Thou art the Christ.
³⁰耶稣就严禁他们，不要向任何人谈及他。	³⁰And he strictly charged them that they should not tell any man of him.
³¹耶稣便开始教训他们：人子必须受许多苦，被长老、司祭长和经师弃绝，且要被杀害；但三天以后必要复活。	³¹And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the ancients and by the high priests, and the scribes, and be killed: and after three days rise again.
³²耶稣明明说了这话。伯多禄便拉他到一边，开始谏责他。	³²And he spoke the word openly. And Peter taking him, began to rebuke him.
³³耶稣却转过身来，注视着自己的门徒，责斥伯多禄说：「撒殚，退到我后面去！因为你所体会的，不是天主的事，而是人的事。」	³³Who turning about and seeing his disciples, threatened Peter, saying: Go behind me, Satan, because thou savorest not the things that are of God, but that are of men.
³⁴他遂召集群众和门徒来，对他们说：「谁若愿意跟随我，该弃绝自己，背着自己的十字架，跟随我，	³⁴And calling the multitude together with his disciples, he said to them: If any man will follow me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
³⁵因为谁若愿意救自己的性命，必要丧失性命；但谁若为我和福音的原故，丧失自己的性命，必要救得性命。	³⁵For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel, shall save it.
³⁶人纵然赚得了全世界而赔上自己的灵魂，为他有什么益处？	³⁶For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?
³⁷人还能拿什么作为自己灵魂的代价？	³⁷Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
³⁸谁若在这淫乱和罪恶的世代中，以我和我的话为耻，将来人子在他父的光荣中，同诸圣天使降来时，也要以他为耻。」	³⁸For he that shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, in this adulterous and sinful generation: the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
³⁹	³⁹And he said to them: Amen I say to you, that there are some of them that stand here, who shall not taste death, till they see the kingdom of God coming in power.
