¹那时，分封侯黑落德听到耶稣的名声，	¹At the time Herod the Tetrarch heard the fame of Jesus.
²就对他的臣仆说：「这是洗者若翰，他由死者中复活了；为此，这些奇能才在他身上运行。」	²And he said to his servants: This is John the Baptist: he is risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works shew forth themselves in him.
³原来，黑落德为了他兄弟斐理伯的妻子黑落狄雅的原故，逮捕了若翰，把他囚在监里，	³For Herod had apprehended John and bound him, and put him into prison, because of Herodias, his brother's wife.
⁴因为若翰曾给他说：「你不可占有这个女人！」	⁴For John said to him: It is not lawful for thee to have her.
⁵黑落德本有意杀他，但害怕群众，因为他们都以若翰为先知。	⁵And having a mind to put him to death, he feared the people: because they esteemed him as a prophet.
⁶到了黑落德的生日，黑落狄雅的女儿，在席间跳舞，中悦了黑落德；	⁶But on Herod's birthday, the daughter of Herodias danced before them: and pleased Herod.
⁷为此，黑落德发誓许下，她无论求什么，都要给她。	⁷Whereupon he promised with an oath, to give her whatsoever she would ask of him.
⁸她受了她母亲的唆使后，就说：「请就地把若翰的头放在盘子里给我！」	⁸But she being instructed before by her mother, said: Give me here in a dish the head of John the Baptist.
⁹王十分忧郁，但为了誓言和同席的人，就下令给她。	⁹And the king was struck sad: yet because of his oath, and for them that sat with him at table, he commanded it to be given.
¹⁰遂差人在监里斩了若翰的头，	¹⁰And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
¹¹把头放在盘子里拿来，给了女孩；女孩便拿去给了她母亲。	¹¹And his head was brought in a dish: and it was given to the damsel, and she brought it to her mother.
¹²若翰的门徒前来，领了尸身，埋葬了，然后去报告给耶稣。	¹²And his disciples came and took the body, and buried it, and came and told Jesus.
¹³耶稣一听说这消息，就从那里上船，私下退到荒野地方；群众听说了，就从各城里步行跟了他去。	¹³Which when Jesus had heard, he retired from thence by boat, into a desert place apart, and the multitudes having heard of it, followed him on foot out of the cities.
¹⁴他一下船，看见一大伙群众，便对他们动了怜悯的心，治好了他们的病人。	¹⁴And he coming forth saw a great multitude, and had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
¹⁵到了傍晚，门徒到他跟前说：「这地方是荒野，时候已不早了，请你遣散群众罢！叫他们各自到村庄去买食物。」	¹⁵And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying: This is a desert place, and the hour is now past: send away the multitudes, that going into the towns, they may buy themselves victuals.
¹⁶耶稣却对他们说：「他们不必去，你们给他们吃的罢！」	¹⁶But Jesus said to them, They have no need to go: give you them to eat.
¹⁷门徒对他说：「我们这里什么也没有，只有五个饼和两条鱼。」	¹⁷They answered him: We have not here, but five loaves, and two fishes.
¹⁸耶稣说：「你们给我拿到这里来！」	¹⁸He said to them: Bring them hither to me.
¹⁹遂又吩咐群众坐在草地上，然后拿起那五个饼和两条鱼，望天祝福了；把饼擘开，递给门徒，门徒再分给群众。	¹⁹And when he had commanded the multitudes to sit down upon the grass, he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
²⁰众人吃了，也都饱了；然后他们把剩余的碎块收了满满十二筐。	²⁰And they did all eat, and were filled. And they took up what remained, twelve full baskets of fragments.
²¹吃的人数，除了妇女和小孩外，约有五千。	²¹And the number of them that did eat, was five thousand men, besides women and children.
²²耶稣即刻催迫门徒上船，在他以先到对岸去；这其间，他遣散了群众。	²²And forthwith Jesus obliged his disciples to go up into the boat, and to go before him over the water, till he dismissed the people.
²³耶稣遣散了群众以后，便私自上山祈祷去了。到了夜晚，他独自一人在那里。	²³And having dismissed the multitude, he went into a mountain alone to pray. And when it was evening, he was there alone.
²⁴船已离岸几里了，受着波浪的颠簸，因为吹的是逆风。	²⁴But the boat in the midst of the sea was tossed with the waves: for the wind was contrary.
²⁵夜间四更时分，耶稣步行海上，朝着他们走来。	²⁵And in the fourth watch of the night, he came to them walking upon the sea.
²⁶门徒看见他在海上行走，就惊骇说：「是个妖怪。」并且吓得大叫起来。	²⁶And they seeing him walk upon the sea, were troubled, saying: It is an apparition. And they cried out for fear.
²⁷耶稣立即向他们说道：「放心！是我。不必害怕！」	²⁷And immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying: Be of good heart: it is I, fear ye not.
²⁸伯多禄回答说：「主，如果是你，就叫我在水面上步行到你那里罢！」	²⁸And Peter making answer, said: Lord, if it be thou, bid me come to thee upon the waters.
²⁹耶稣说：「来罢！」伯多禄遂从船上下来，走在水面上，往耶稣那里去。	²⁹And he said: Come. And Peter going down out of the boat, walked upon the water to come to Jesus.
³⁰但他一见风势很强，就害怕起来，并开始下沉，遂大叫说：「主，救我罢！」	³⁰But seeing the wind strong, he was afraid: and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying: Lord, save me.
³¹耶稣立刻伸手拉住他，对他说：「小信德的人哪！你为什么怀疑？」	³¹And immediately Jesus stretching forth his hand took hold of him, and said to him: O thou of little faith, why didst thou doubt?
³²他们一上了船，风就停了。	³²And when they were come up into the boat, the wind ceased.
³³船上的人便朝拜他说：「你真是天主子。」	³³And they that were in the boat came and adored him, saying: Indeed thou art the Son of God.
³⁴他们渡到对岸，来到革乃撒勒地方。	³⁴And having passed the water, they came into the country of Genesar.
³⁵那地方的人一认出是耶稣，就打发人到周围整个地方，把一切患病的人，都带到耶稣跟前，	³⁵And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent into all that country, and brought to him all that were diseased.
³⁶求耶稣让他们只摸摸他的衣边；凡摸着的，就痊愈了。	³⁶And they besought him that they might touch but the hem of his garment. And as many as touched, were made whole.
