玛窦福音	Matthew
¹那时，耶稣被圣神领往旷野，为受魔鬼的试探。	¹Then Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert, to be tempted by the devil.
²他四十天四十夜禁食，后来就饿了。	²And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterwards he was hungry.
³试探者就前来对他说：「你若是天主子，就命这些石头变成饼罢！」	³And the tempter coming said to him: If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
⁴他回答说：「经上记载：『人生活不只靠饼，而也靠天主口中所发的一切言语。』」	⁴Who answered and said: It is written, Not in bread alone doth man live, but in every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.
⁵那时，魔鬼引他到了圣城，把他立在殿顶上，	⁵Then the devil took him up into the holy city, and set him upon the pinnacle of the temple,
⁶对他说：「你若是天主子，就跳下去，因经上记载：『他为你吩咐了自己的天使，他们要用手托着你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。』」	⁶And said to him: If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down, for it is written: That he hath given his angels charge over thee, and in their hands shall they bear thee up, lest perhaps thou dash thy foot against a stone.
⁷耶稣对他说：「经上又记载：『你不可试探上主，你的天主！』」	⁷Jesus said to him: It is written again: Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
⁸魔鬼又把他带到一座极高的山上，将世上的一切国度及其荣华指给他看，	⁸Again the devil took him up into a very high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them,
⁹对他说：「你若俯伏朝拜我，我必把这一切交给你。」	⁹And said to him: All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me.
¹⁰那时，耶稣就对他说：「去罢！撒殚！因为经上记载：『你要朝拜上主，你的天主，惟独事奉他。』」	¹⁰Then Jesus saith to him: Begone, Satan: for it is written, The Lord thy God shalt thou adore, and him only shalt thou serve.
¹¹于是魔鬼离开了他，就有天使前来伺候他。	¹¹Then the devil left him; and behold angels came and ministered to him.
¹²耶稣听到若翰被监禁以后，就退避到加里肋亚去了；	¹²And when Jesus had heard that John was delivered up, he retired into Galilee:
¹³后又离开纳匝肋，来住在海边的葛法翁，即住在则步隆和纳斐塔里境内。	¹³And leaving the city Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capharnaum on the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim;
¹⁴这应验了依撒意亚先知所说的话：	¹⁴That it might be fulfilled which was said by Isaias the prophet:
¹⁵「则步隆地与纳斐塔里地，通海大路，约但河东，外方人的加里肋亚，	¹⁵Land of Zabulon and land of Nephthalim, the way of the sea beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles:
¹⁶那坐在黑暗中的百姓，看见了浩光；那些坐在死亡阴影之地的人，为他们出现了光明。」	¹⁶The people that sat in darkness, hath seen great light: and to them that sat in the region of the shadow of death, light is sprung up.
¹⁷从那时起，耶稣开始宣讲说：「你们悔改罢！因为天国临近了。」	¹⁷From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say: Do penance, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
¹⁸耶稣沿加里肋亚海行走时，看见了两个兄弟：称为伯多禄的西满，和他的兄弟安德肋，在海里撒网，他们原是渔夫。	¹⁸And Jesus walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers).
¹⁹他就对他们说：「来，跟从我！我要使你们成为渔人的渔夫。」	¹⁹And he saith to them: Come ye after me, and I will make you to be fishers of men.
²⁰他们立刻舍下网，跟随了他。	²⁰And they immediately leaving their nets, followed him.
²¹他从那里再往前行，看见了另外两个兄弟：载伯德的儿子雅各伯和他的弟弟若望，在船上同自己的父亲载伯德修理他们的网，就召叫了他们。	²¹And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets: and he called them.
²²他们也立刻舍下鱼船和自己的父亲，跟随了他。	²²And they forthwith left their nets and father, and followed him.
²³耶稣走遍了全加里肋亚，在他们的会堂内施教，宣讲天国的福音，治好民间各种疾病，各种灾殃。	²³And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom: and healing all manner of sickness and every infirmity, among the people.
²⁴他的名声传遍了整个叙利亚。人就把一切有病的、受各种疾病痛苦煎熬的、附魔的，癫疯的、瘫痪的，都给他送来，他都治好了他们。	²⁴And his fame went throughout all Syria, and they presented to him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and such as were possessed by devils, and lunatics, and those that had palsy, and he cured them:
²⁵于是有许多群众从加里肋亚、「十城区」、耶路撒冷、犹太和约但河东岸来跟随了他。	²⁵And much people followed him from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.
