| 1米黎盎和亚郎为了梅瑟所娶的雇士女人出言反对梅瑟，因为他娶了个雇士女人， | 1And Mary and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of his wife the Ethiopian, |
| 2于是说：「上主岂只与梅瑟交谈，不是也与我们交谈过！」上主听见了这话。 | 2And they said: Hath the Lord spoken by Moses only? hath he not also spoken to us in like manner? And when the Lord heard this, |
| 3梅瑟为人十分谦和，超过地上所有的人。 | 3(For Moses was a man exceeding meek above all men that dwelt upon earth) |
| 4上主忽然向梅瑟、亚郎和米黎盎说：「你们三人到会幕那里去。」他们三人就去了。 | 4Immediately he spoke to him, and to Aaron and Mary: Come out you three only to the tabernacle of the covenant. And when they were come out, |
| 5上主乘云柱降下，停在会幕门口，叫亚郎和米黎盎；他们两人就走向前去， | 5The Lord came down in a pillar of the cloud, and stood in the entry of the tabernacle calling to Aaron and Mary. And when they were come, |
| 6上主说：「你们听我说：若你们中有一位是先知，我要在神视中显示给他，在梦中与他谈话； | 6He said to them: Hear my words: if there be among you a prophet of the Lord, I will appear to him in a vision, or I will speak to him in a dream. |
| 7但对我的仆人梅瑟却不是这样，他在我全家中是最忠信可靠的。 | 7But it is not so with my servant Moses a who is most faithful in all my house: |
| 8我面对面与他明明说话，不藉谜语，并让他望见上主的形像。为什么你们竟不怕出言反对我的仆人梅瑟？」 | 8For I speak to him mouth to mouth: and plainly, and not by riddles and figures doth he see the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak ill of my servant Moses? |
| 9上主对他们发着怒走了。 | 9And being angry with them he went away: |
| 10彩云一离开会幕，看，米黎盎就生了癞病，像雪那样白；亚郎转身看见米黎盎生了癞病， | 10The cloud also that was over the tabernacle departed: and behold Mary appeared white as snow with a leprosy. And when Aaron had looked on her, and saw her all covered with leprosy, |
| 11遂对梅瑟说：「我主，恳求你，别使我们因一时愚昧所犯之罪而受罚！ | 11He said to Moses: I beseech thee, my lord, lay not upon us this sin, which we have foolishly committed: |
| 12求你别让她像个胎死腹中的人，一出娘胎，肉身就已腐烂了一半。」 | 12Let her not be as one dead, and as an abortive that is cast forth from the mother's womb. Lo, now one half of her flesh is consumed with the leprosy. |
| 13梅瑟遂向上主呼求说：「天主，我求你治好她罢！」 | 13And Moses cried to the Lord, saying: O God, I beseech thee heal her. |
| 14上主对梅瑟说：「若她的父亲在她面上吐唾沬，她岂不要七天忍此羞辱，七天把她隔离在营外，然后才让她回来？」 | 14And the Lord answered him: If her father had spitten upon her face, ought she not to have been ashamed for seven days at least? Let her be separated seven days without the camp, and after wards she shall be called again. |
| 15于是米黎盎七天之久，被隔离在营外；民众也没有起程，直到米黎盎回来。 | 15Mary therefore was put out of the camp seven days: and the people moved not from that place until Mary was called again. |
| 16以后，民众由哈兹洛特起程出发，在帕兰旷野扎了营。 | 16 |
