箴言	Proverbs
¹我儿，你应注意我的智慧，侧耳倾听我的见解，	¹My son, attend to my wisdom, and incline thy ear to my prudence.
²为使你保持审慎的态度，使你的口唇能固守知识。	²That thou mayst keep thoughts, and thy lips may preserve instruction. Mind not the deceit of a woman.
³因为淫妇的口，滴流甜蜜；她的嘴唇，比油还滑；	³For the lips of a harlot are like a honeycomb dropping, and her throat is smoother than oil.
⁴但是，与她相处的结果，却苦若苦艾，刺心有如双刃的利剑。	⁴But her end is bitter as wormwood, and sharp as a two-edged sword.
⁵她的双脚陷入死境，她的脚步直趋阴府。	⁵Her feet go down into death, and her steps go in as far as hell.
⁶她不走生命的坦途；她的脚步，踌躇不定，不知所往。	⁶They walk not by the path of life, her steps are wandering, and unaccountable.
⁷现在，我儿，你要听从我，不要抛弃我口中的教训︰	⁷Now therefore, my son, hear me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
⁸你应使你的道路远离她，不要走近她的家门，	⁸Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the doors of her house.
⁹免得将你的精力，葬送给别人；将你的岁月，委弃给无赖；	⁹Give not thy honour to strangers, and thy years to the cruel.
¹⁰免得你的财产为他人享受，你的辛劳裨益于人家；	¹⁰Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, and thy labours be in another man's house,
¹¹免得终期来临，当你的肉躯和身体精力耗尽时，你只有叹息，	¹¹And thou mourn it the last, when thou shalt have spent thy flesh and thy body, and say:
¹²说：「唉！为什么我憎恶了教训，为什么我的心藐视了规劝？	¹²Why have I hated instruction, and my heart consented not to reproof,
¹³为什么我没有听从师长的劝告，没有侧耳倾听教训我的人？	¹³And have not heard the voice of them that taught me, and have not inclined my ear to masters?
¹⁴在集会和会众中，我几乎陷于浩劫。」	¹⁴I have almost been in all evil, in the midst of the church and of the congregation.
¹⁵你当饮你自己池里的水，喝你井里的活泉。	¹⁵Drink water out of thy own cistern, and the streams of thy own well:
¹⁶你的泉水岂可外溢，成为街头的流水？	¹⁶Let thy fountains be conveyed abroad, and in the streets divide thy waters.
¹⁷其实都应全归于你，不得让外人与你共享。	¹⁷Keep them to thyself alone, neither let strangers be partakers with thee.
¹⁸你的泉源理应受祝福；你应由你少年时的妻子取乐。	¹⁸Let thy vein be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of thy youth:
¹⁹她宛如可爱的母鹿，妩媚的母羚；她的酥胸应常使你畅怀，她的爱情应不断使你陶醉。	¹⁹Let her be thy dearest hind, and most agreeable fawn: let her breasts inebriate thee at all times; he thou delighted continually with her love.
²⁰我儿，你为什么要迷恋外妇，拥抱别人妻室的胸怀？	²⁰Why art thou seduced, my son, by a strange woman, and art cherished in the bosom of another?
²¹上主的眼目时常监视人的道路，不断审察他的一切行径。	²¹The Lord beholdeth the ways of man, and considereth all his steps.
²²恶人必被自己的邪恶所缠扰，必为自己罪恶的罗网所捕获。	²²His own iniquities catch the wicked, and he is fast bound with the ropes of his own sins.
²³他必因不听教训而丧命，必因自己过度的愚昧而沦亡。	²³He shall die, because he hath not received instruction, and in the multitude of his folly he shall be deceived.
