箴言	Proverbs
¹智慧不是在呼唤，明智不是在发出她的呼声吗？	¹Doth not wisdom cry aloud, and prudence put forth her voice?
²她站在高岗上，站在通衢大道上，	²Standing in the top of the highest places by the way, in the midst of the paths.
³她在城门口，在城入口处大声喊说：	³Beside the gates of the city, in the very doors she speaketh, saying:
⁴人呀！我在向你们呼唤，我在对人子发出呼声：	⁴O ye men, to you I call, and my voice is to the sons of men.
⁵幼稚的人，你们应学习机智；愚昧的人，你们应学习聪明。	⁵O little ones, understand subtilty, and ye unwise, take notice.
⁶你们且听，因为我要讲论卓绝的事，开口述说正直的事。	⁶Hear, for I will speak of great things: and my lips shall be opened to preach right things.
⁷的确，我的口只畅谈真理，我厌恶虚诈的唇舌。	⁷My mouth shall meditate truth, and my lips shall hate wickedness.
⁸凡我口述的，无不正直，毫无歪曲或乖僻。	⁸All my words are just, there is nothing wicked nor perverse in them.
⁹我的话为明白的人是诚实的，为有智识的人是正确的。	⁹They are right to them that understand, and just to them that find knowledge.
¹⁰你们应听取我的教训，而不要银子；应汲取智识，而不取纯金；	¹⁰Receive my instruction, and not money: choose knowledge rather than gold.
¹¹因为智慧胜过任何珍珠，任何可贪恋的事都不能与她伦比。	¹¹For wisdom is better than all the most precious things: and whatsoever may be desired cannot be compared to it.
¹²我─智慧─与机智同居，拥有知识和见识。	¹²I wisdom dwell in counsel, and am present in learned thoughts.
¹³敬畏上主，就是憎恨邪恶傲慢骄横，邪恶的行径和欺诈的口舌，我都憎恶。	¹³The fear of the Lord hateth evil: I hate arrogance, and pride, and every wicked way, and a mouth with a double tongue.
¹⁴机谋才智，属我所有；聪明勇敢，亦属于我。	¹⁴Counsel and equity is mine, prudence is mine, strength is mine.
¹⁵藉着我，君王执政，元首秉公行义；	¹⁵By me kings reign, and lawgivers decree just things,
¹⁶藉着我，统治者统治，王侯治理邦土。	¹⁶By me princes rule, and the mighty decree justice.
¹⁷我爱那爱我的人；凡寻求我的，必找着我。	¹⁷I love them that love me: and they that in the morning early watch for me, shall find me.
¹⁸富贵荣誉，恒产正义，都属我有。	¹⁸With me are riches and glory, glorious riches and justice.
¹⁹我的果实，胜过黄金纯金；我的出产，比净银还要宝贵。	¹⁹For my fruit is better than gold and the precious stone, and my blossoms than choice silver.
²⁰我走在正义的路上，走在公平的路上，	²⁰I walk in the way of justice, in the midst of the paths of judgment,
²¹使爱我者获得产业，充满他们的宝库。	²¹That I may enrich them that love me, and may fill their treasures.
²²上主自始即拿我作他行动的起始，作他作为的开端：	²²The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his ways, before he made any thing from the beginning.
²³大地还没有形成以前，远自太古，从无始我已被立；	²³I was set up from eternity, and of old before the earth was made.
²⁴深渊还没有存在，水泉还没有涌出以前，我已受生；	²⁴The depths were not as yet, and I was already conceived. neither had the fountains of waters as yet sprung out:
²⁵山岳还没有奠定，丘陵还没有存在以前，我已受生。	²⁵The mountains with their huge bulk had not as yet been established: before the hills I was brought forth:
²⁶那时，上主还没有创造大地、原野、和世上土壤的原质；	²⁶He had not yet made the earth, nor the rivers, nor the poles of the world.
²⁷当他建立高天时，我已在场；当他在深渊之上划出穹苍时，	²⁷When he prepared the heavens, I was present: when with a certain law and compass he enclosed the depths:
²⁸当他上使穹苍稳立，下使渊源固定时，	²⁸When he established the sky above, and poised the fountains of waters:
²⁹当他为沧海划定界限，令水不要越境，给大地奠定基础时，	²⁹When he compassed the sea with its bounds, and set a law to the waters that they should not pass their limits: when be balanced the foundations of the earth;
³⁰我已在他身旁，充作技师。那时，我天天是他的喜悦，不断在他前欢跃，	³⁰I was with him forming all things: and was delighted every day, playing before him at all times;
³¹欢跃于尘寰之间，乐与世人共处。	³¹Playing in the world: and my delights were to be with the children of men.
³²那么，我儿，你们且听我：遵循我道路的人是有福的。	³²Now therefore, ye children, hear me: Blessed are they that keep my ways.
³³你们该听从教训，做一智慧人，不要把她抛弃。	³³Hear instruction and be wise, and refuse it not.
³⁴凡听从我言，天天在我门前守候，在我门框旁侍立的人，是有福的。	³⁴Blessed is the man that heareth me, and that watcheth daily at my gates, and waiteth at the posts of my doors.
³⁵因为谁找到我，便是找到生命，他必由上主获得恩宠。	³⁵He that shall find me, shall find life, and shall have salvation from the Lord:
³⁶但是那得罪我的，等于伤害自己；凡憎恨我的，是自找死亡。	³⁶But he that shall sin against me, shall hurt his own soul. All that hate me love death.
