| 1智慧要称扬自己，因天主而受光荣，在她的民族中，要取得荣耀； | 1Wisdom shall praise her own self, and shall be honoured in God, and shall glory in the midst of her people, |
| 2在至高者的集会中，要开启自己的口；在他的军旅前，要夸耀自己； | 2And shall open her mouth in the churches of the most High, and shall glorify herself in the sight of his power, |
| 3在他的百姓中，要受举扬；在圣民间，要受景仰； | 3And in the midst of her own people she shall be exalted, and shall be admired in the holy assembly. |
| 4在被选者的群众中，要被称赞；在蒙祝福者中，要蒙祝福；说： | 4And in the multitude of the elect she shall have praise, and among the blessed she shall be blessed, saying: |
| 5我由至高者的口中出生，我在一切化工以先，是首先出生的。 | 5I came out of the mouth of the most High, the firstborn before all creatures: |
| 6我使天上发出不灭的光明，仿佛是遮盖大地的一片云彩。 | 6I made that in the heavens there should rise light that never faileth, and as a cloud I covered all the earth: |
| 7我住在极高之处，我的宝座是在云柱之上。 | 7I dwelt in the highest places, and my throne is in a pillar of a cloud. |
| 8惟有我绕行周天，走遍深渊的深处； | 8I alone have compassed the circuit of heaven, and have penetrated into the bottom of the deep, and have walked in the waves of the sea, |
| 9行走在沧海的波涛上，站立在普世上。 | 9And have stood in all the earth: and in every people, |
| 10我在万民和列国中，掌握无上威权。 | 10And in every nation I have had the chief rule: |
| 11我以德能，平定了一切显贵与卑微人的心；在这一切当中，我曾寻找安息之处，但我究竟应住在谁家？ | 11And by my power I have trodden under my feet the hearts of all the high and low: and in all these I sought rest, and I shall abide in the inheritance of the Lord. |
| 12那时，创造万物的主宰，给我出了命令，也告诉了我；那造化我的，给我的帐幕指定了位置， | 12Then the creator of all things commanded, and said to me: and he that made me, rested in my tabernacle, |
| 13说道：你要住在雅各伯那里，在以色列中建立产业，在我的选民中生根。 | 13And he said to me: Let thy dwelling be in Jacob, and thy inheritance in Israel, and take root in my elect. |
| 14起初，当世界未有以前，他就造了我，我永远不会消灭。在神圣的帐幕里，我曾在他面前供职。 | 14From the beginning, and before the world, was I created, and unto the world to come I shall not cease to be, and in the holy dwelling place I have ministered before him. |
| 15这样，我就定居在熙雍山上；同样，他使我在他钟爱的城里安息，使我在耶路撒冷有权势。 | 15And so was I established in Sion, and in the holy city likewise I rested, and my power was in Jerusalem. |
| 16我在显耀的民族中，就是在上主的地域，他的家业内生根；我的居所，是在满是圣人的中间。 | 16And I took root in an honourable people, and in the portion of my God his inheritance, and my abode is in the full assembly of saints. |
| 17我长高，如黎巴嫩的香柏，又如赫尔孟山上的扁柏； | 17I was exalted like a cedar in Libanus, and as a cypress tree on mount Sion. |
| 18我高峻，如恩革狄的棕树，又如耶里哥的玫瑰树。 | 18I was exalted like a palm tree in Cades, and as a rose plant in Jericho: |
| 19我好像平原上一棵美丽的橄榄树，又像一棵耸立在街道溪畔的白杨。 | 19As a fair olive tree in the plains, and as a plane tree by the water in the streets, was I exalted. |
| 20我发散馨香如肉桂，如芬芳的防风；我散布甘美的芳香，有如精制的没药。 | 20I gave a sweet smell like cinnamon. and aromatical balm: I yielded a sweet odour like the best myrrh: |
| 21我好像安息香树、白松香、红螺、安息油液，又好像帐幕里乳香的烟气；我的芳香像纯粹的防风露。 | 21And I perfumed my dwelling as storax, and galbanum, and onyx, and aloes, and as the frankincense not cut, and my odour is as the purest balm. |
| 22我如同笃耨香树，伸展了我的枝叶；我的枝叶壮丽而雅致。 | 22I have stretched out my branches as the turpentine tree, and my branches are of honour and grace. |
| 23我如同葡萄树，发出美丽的枝芽；我的花结的果实，光鲜而味美。 | 23As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odour: and my flowers are the fruit of honour and riches. |
| 24我是纯爱、敬畏、智德和圣望的母亲。 | 24I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. |
| 25我具有真道和真理的一切优美；我具有生命和道德的一切希望。 | 25In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue. |
| 26凡渴望我的，请到我这里来，饱食我的果实： | 26Come over to me, all ye that desire me, and be filled with my fruits. |
| 27因为，我的纪念，比蜜还甜；我的遗产，胜过蜂蜜和蜂房； | 27For my spirit is sweet above honey, and my inheritance above honey and the honeycomb. |
| 28我的纪念，万世常存。 | 28My memory is unto everlasting generations. |
| 29凡食我的，还要饥饿；凡饮我的，还要饥渴。 | 29They that eat me, shall yet hunger: and they that drink me, shall yet thirst. |
| 30听从我的，不会蒙羞；因我而行事的，不会犯罪； | 30He that hearkeneth to me, shall not be confounded: and they that work by me, shall not sin. |
| 31传扬我的，必得常生。 | 31They that explain me shall have life everlasting. |
| 32生命的道理和真理的知识，这一切都包含在至高天主的盟约书上。 | 32All these things are the book of life, and the covenant of the most High, and the knowledge of truth. |
| 33这约书含有梅瑟颁布给我们的法律，就是给雅各伯的会众作产业，以色列作应许，而蕴藏正义诫命的法律。 | 33Moses commanded a law in the precepts of justices, and an inheritance to the house of Jacob, and the promises to Israel. |
| 34上主曾应许自己的仆人达味，要从他的后裔中，兴起一位强而有力的君王，永远坐在光荣的宝座上。 | 34He appointed to David his servant to raise up of him a most mighty king, and sitting on the throne of glory for ever. |
| 35这法律充满智慧，有如丕雄，又有如收成期间的底格里斯； | 35Who filleth up wisdom as the Phison, and as the Tigris in the days of the new fruits. |
| 36洋溢智能，有如幼发拉的，又有如收割之日的约但； | 36Who maketh understanding to abound as the Euphrates, who multiplieth it as the Jordan in the time of harvest. |
| 37阐明教诲，有如尼罗，又如收葡萄时的基红。 | 37Who sendeth knowledge as the light, and riseth up as Gehon in the time of the vintage. |
| 38最初那个领悟她的人，还没有完全洞悉；最后的一个，也没有完全领会； | 38Who first hath perfect knowledge of her, and a weaker shall not search her out. |
| 39因为她的思想，比海洋还广；她的智谋，比深渊还深。 | 39For her thoughts are more vast than the sea, and her counsels more deep than the great ocean. |
| 40我智慧，倾泻成河； | 40I, wisdom, have poured out rivers. |
| 41我如江河洪水的支流，我如从河里引出来的水道，我如通到乐园的水渠。 | 41I, like a brook out of a river of a mighty water; I, like a channel of a river. and like an aqueduct, came out of paradise. |
| 42我说：我要浇灌我的花园，我要滋润我的菜田。 | 42I said: I will water my garden of plants, and I will water abundantly the fruits of my meadow. |
| 43请看，我的支流，成了江河；我的江河，成了海洋。 | 43And behold my brook became a great river, and my river came near to a sea: |
| 44我还要使圣道发光，有如晨曦；使它照耀，直到远方。 | 44For I make doctrine to shine forth to all as the morning light, and I will declare it afar off. |
| 45我要浸透世上的一切洼地，垂顾一切熟睡的人，光照一切仰望上主的人。 | 45I will penetrate to all the lower parts of the earth, and will behold all that sleep, and will enlighten all that hope in the Lord. |
| 46我还要传播圣道，有如神谕；我要将她留给永世，留给寻求智慧的人们；我要不断地将她留给他们的后裔，直到神圣的永世。 | 46I will yet pour out doctrine as prophecy, and will leave it to them that seek wisdom, and will not cease to instruct their offspring even to the holy age. |
| 47你们看：我劳苦，并不是单为我自己，也是为一切寻求智慧的人们。 | 47See ye that I have not laboured for myself only, but for all that seek out the truth. |
