| 1不要猜忌你怀中的妻子，怕你教给她危害你的知识。 | 1Be not jealous over the wife of thy bosom, lest she shew in thy regard the malice of a wicked lesson. |
| 2不要任意顺从你的妻子，免得她侵占你的权柄，使你蒙羞。 | 2Give not the power of thy soul to a woman, lest she enter upon thy strength, and thou be confounded. |
| 3不要逢迎淫妇，怕你落在她的罗网里。 | 3Look not upon a woman that hath a mind for many: lest thou fall into her snares. |
| 4不要同歌女交往，也不要听她，怕你跌在她的陷阱里。 | 4Use not much the company of her that is a dancer, and hearken not to her, lest thou perish by the force of her charms. |
| 5不要注视处女，怕你为了爱她，而失足跌倒。 | 5Gaze not upon a maiden, lest her beauty be a stumblingblock to thee. |
| 6不要倾心于妓女，怕你荡尽了你的产业。 | 6Give not thy soul to harlots in any point: lest thou destroy thyself and thy inheritance. |
| 7不要在城市的街道上，东张西望，也不要在城中无人的地方游荡。 | 7Look not round about thee in the ways of the city, nor wander up and down in the streets thereof. |
| 8当转移眼目，不看美丽的妇女，也不要注视别人妻子的美容； | 8Turn away thy face from a woman dressed up, and gaze not about upon another's beauty. |
| 9为了妇女的美容，许多人走入迷途；从此，欲情炽然，有如烈火。 | 9For many have perished by the beauty of a woman, and hereby lust is enkindled as a fire. |
| 10所有的淫妇，都像路上被人践踏的粪土。 | 10Every woman that is a harlot, shall be trodden upon as dung in the way. |
| 11许多人因羨慕别人妻子的美貌，而变坏了；因为她的言语，炽然有如烈火。 | 11Many by admiring the beauty of another man's wife, have become reprobate, for her conversation burneth as fire. |
| 12不要与有夫之妇同坐，也不要与她同席燕饮，饮酒时也不要同她辩论， | 12Sit not at all with another man's wife, nor repose upon the bed with her: |
| 13怕你的心转向她，因你的情欲而陷于丧亡。 | 13And strive not with her over wine, lest thy heart decline towards her, and by thy blood thou fall into destruction. |
| 14不要离弃旧友，因为新知不如故交； | 14Forsake not an old friend, for the new will not be like to him. |
| 15新友有如新酒，若成了陈酒，你才喜欢痛饮。 | 15A new friend is as new wine: it shall grow old, and thou shalt drink it with pleasure. |
| 16不要羨慕恶人的光荣和财富，因为你不知道他将来的结局怎样。 | 16Envy not the glory and riches of a sinner: for thou knowest not what his ruin shall be. |
| 17不虔敬者喜爱的事，你不要喜爱；要记住：他们到死，绝免不了受惩罚。 | 17Be not pleased with the wrong done by the unjust, knowing that even to hell the wicked shall not please. |
| 18当远离那有杀身之权的人，如此，你就没有怕死的疑虑； | 18Keep thee far from the man that hath power to kill, so thou shalt not suspect the fear of death. |
| 19即便你亲近他，也不要犯过错，怕他要害你的性命； | 19And if thou come to him, commit no fault, lest he take away thy life. |
| 20该知道死已临头，因为，你是在陷阱中经过，在城垛上行走。 | 20Know it to be a communication with death: for thou art going in the midst of snares, and walking upon the arms of them that are grieved: |
| 21你要尽可能同别人商议，并征求明智人的主意。 | 21According to thy power beware of thy neighbour, and treat with the wise and prudent. |
| 22义人当是你座上的宾客；要以敬畏上主，为你的荣耀。 | 22Let just men be thy guests, and let thy glory be in the fear of God. |
| 23你当同聪明人交谈；你的一切谈论，应依照至高者的法度。 | 23And let the thought of God be in thy mind, and all thy discourse on the commandments of the Highest. |
| 24美术家的手工，令人赞赏；民众的领袖谈吐明智，使人喝采；老年人的智言，受人称扬； | 24Works shall be praised for the hand of the artificers, and the prince of the people for the wisdom of his speech, but the word of the ancients for the sense. |
| 25饶舌的人在本城内，叫人恐怖；轻率人的言语，使人憎恶。 | 25A man full of tongue is terrible in his city, and he that is rash in his word shall be hateful. |
