| 1至于你，你所讲的，该合乎健全的道理； | 1But speak thou the things that become sound doctrine: |
| 2教训老人应节制、端庄、慎重，在信德、爱德和忍耐上，要正确健全。 | 2That the aged men be sober, chaste, prudent, sound in faith, in love, in patience. |
| 3也要教训老妇在举止上要圣善，不毁谤人，不沉湎于酒，但教人行善， | 3The aged women, in like manner, in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well: |
| 4好能教导青年妇女爱丈夫，爱子女， | 4That they may teach the young women to be wise, to love their husbands, to love their children, |
| 5慎重，贞节，勤理家务，良善，服从自己的丈夫，免得使人诋毁天主的圣道。 | 5To be discreet, chaste, sober, having a care of the house, gentle, obedient to their husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. |
| 6你也要教训青年人在一切事上要慎重。 | 6Young men, in like manner, exhort that they be sober. |
| 7你该显示自己为行善的模范，在教导上应表示纯正庄重， | 7In all things shew thyself an example of good works, in doctrine, in integrity, in gravity, |
| 8要讲健全无可指摘的话，使反对的人感到羞愧，说不出我们什么不好来。 | 8The sound word that can not be blamed: that he, who is on the contrary part, may be afraid, having no evil to say of us. |
| 9教训奴隶在一切事上要服从自己的主人，常叫他们喜悦，不要抗辩， | 9Exhort servants to be obedient to their masters, in all things pleasing, not gainsaying: |
| 10不要窃取，惟要事事表示自己实在忠信，好使我们的救主天主的圣道，在一切事上获得光荣。 | 10Not defrauding, but in all things shewing good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things: |
| 11的确，天主救众人的恩宠已经出现， | 11For the grace of God our Saviour hath appeared to all men; |
| 12教导我们弃绝不虔敬的生活，和世俗的贪欲，有节地、公正地、虔敬地在今世生活， | 12Instructing us, that, denying ungodliness and worldly desires, we should live soberly, and justly, and godly in this world, |
| 13期待所有希望的幸福，和我们伟大的天主及救主耶稣基督光荣的显现。 | 13Looking for the blessed hope and coming of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, |
| 14他为我们舍弃了自己，是为救赎我们脱离一切罪恶，洗净我们，使我们能成为他的选民，叫我们热心行善。 | 14Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and might cleanse to himself a people acceptable, a pursuer of good works. |
| 15你要宣讲这些事，以全权规劝和指摘，不要让任何人轻视你。 | 15These things speak, and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. |
