| 1「列祖的天主，仁慈的上主！你用你的言语，创作了一切， | 1God of my fathers, and Lord of mercy, who hast made all things with thy word, |
| 2以你的智慧造了人，使他统治你所造的万物， | 2And by thy wisdom hast appointed man, that he should have dominion over the creature that was made by thee, |
| 3吩咐他以圣德和正义，管理世界，以正直的心，施行权力： | 3That he should order the world according to equity and justice, and execute justice with an upright heart: |
| 4求你赐给我侍立于你座旁的智慧，不要将我从你仆人中开除； | 4Give me wisdom, that sitteth by thy throne, and cast me not off from among thy children: |
| 5因为，我是你的仆人，是你婢女的儿子，是病弱短命，对正义与法律绝少认识的人。 | 5For I am thy servant, and the son of thy handmaid, a weak man, and of short time, and falling short of the understanding of judgment and laws. |
| 6在人子中，即便有人是完人，如果没有出于你的智慧，他实算不了什么。 | 6For if one be perfect among the children of men, yet if thy wisdom be not with him, he shall be nothing regarded. |
| 7你曾选拔我，作你百姓的君王，作你子女的判官。 | 7Thou hast chosen me to be king of thy people, and a judge of thy sons and daughters. |
| 8你曾命令我，在你的圣山上建造圣殿，在你居住的城邑内修筑祭坛，仿照你起初所备置的圣幕的式样。 | 8And hast commanded me to build a temple on thy holy mount, and an altar in the city of thy dwelling place, a resemblance of thy holy tabernacle, which thou hast prepared from the beginning: |
| 9智慧与你同在，她洞悉你的工作；当你创造世界的时候，她已在场，知道你喜悦什么，知道按你的法律，甚么是正当的。 | 9And thy wisdom with thee, which knoweth thy works, which then also was present when thou madest the world, and knew what was agreeable to thy eyes, and what was right in thy commandments. |
| 10求你从你的圣天上，遣发智慧，从你荣耀的宝座旁，派遣她来，与我共处同劳，教我知道什么是你喜悦的事。 | 10Send her out of thy holy heaven, and from the throne of thy majesty, that she may be with me, and may labour with me, that I may know what is acceptable with thee: |
| 11因为她知道一切，通达一切，能引导我行事明智，以自己的德能保护我。 | 11For she knoweth and understandeth all things, and shall lead me soberly in my works, and shall preserve me by her power. |
| 12这样，我的工作必蒙悦纳，治理你的百姓可以公正，配坐我父亲的宝座。人无智慧，不能获得救恩。 | 12So shall my works be acceptable, and I shall govern thy people justly, and shall be worthy of the throne of my father. |
| 13有谁能知道天主的计划，有谁能想像上主的意愿？ | 13For who among men is he that can know the counsel of God? or who can think what the will of God is? |
| 14有死的人的思想，常是不定的，我们人的计谋常是无常的； | 14For the thoughts of mortal men are fearful, and our counsels uncertain. |
| 15因为，这必腐朽的肉身，重压着灵魂；这属于土的寓所，迫使精神多虑。 | 15For the corruptible body is a load upon the soul, and the earthly habitation presseth down the mind that museth upon many things. |
| 16世上的事，我们还难以测度；目前的事，我们还得费力追求；那么，天主上的事谁还能探究？ | 16And hardly do we guess aright at things that are upon earth: and with labour do we find the things that are before us. But the things that are in heaven, who shall search out? |
| 17你若不赐予智慧，从高天派遣你的圣神，谁能知道你的旨意？ | 17And who shall know thy thought, except thou give wisdom, and send thy Holy Spirit from above: |
| 18这样，世人的道路才得修直了，人们才可学习你喜悦的事， | 18And so the ways of them that are upon earth may be corrected, and men may learn the things that please thee? |
| 19赖智慧获得救援。」 | 19For by wisdom they were healed, whosoever have pleased thee, O Lord, from the beginning. |
