| 1没有廉耻的民族！在你们尚未像糠秕一朝被吹散之前，在上主的怒火尚未来到你们身上，在上主忿怒的日子尚未来到你们身上以前，你们聚首检讨罢！ | 1Assemble yourselves together, be gathered together, O nation not worthy to be loved: |
| 2地上所有遵守他法律的卑微人！你们应求上主，你们要寻求公义，要寻求谦和，也许你们在上主忿怒的日子能藏身免祸。 | 2Before the decree bring forth the day as dust passing away, before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you, before the day of the Lord's indignation come upon you. |
| 3因为迦萨将被抛弃，阿市刻隆将成荒野；阿市多得必在极盛时被人驱逐，厄刻龙必被铲除。 | 3Seek the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, you that have wrought his judgment: seek the just, seek the meek: if by any means you may be hid in the day of the Lord's indignation. |
| 4祸哉！沿海地带的居民，革勒提民族！看，这是上主攻击你们的话：培肋舍特地！我要贬抑你，把你毁灭得再无居民！ | 4For Gaza shall be destroyed, and Ascalon shall be a desert, they shall cast out Azotus at noonday, and Accaron shall be rooted up. |
| 5沿海地带必将成为牧人的牧场，羊群的栏栈。 | 5Woe to you that inhabit the sea coast, O nation of reprobates: the word of the Lord upon you, O Chanaan, the land of the Philistines, and I will destroy thee, so that there shall not be an inhabitant. |
| 6沿海地带必将归于犹大家的遗民；他们将沿着海滨放羊，晚上歇息在阿市刻隆的栈房，因为上主他们的天主必看顾他们，转变他们境遇。 | 6And the sea coast shall be the resting place of shepherds, and folds for cattle: |
| 7我听到了摩阿布的辱骂，阿孟子民的诋诟；他们辱骂了我的百姓，欺凌了我的领域。 | 7And it shall be the portion of him that shall remain of the house of Juda, there they shall feed: in the houses of Ascalon they shall rest in the evening: because the Lord their God will visit them, and bring back their captivity. |
| 8为此，我指着我的生命起誓──万军的上主，以色列天主的断语：摩阿布必要像索多玛，哈孟子民必要像哈摩辣，变为荆棘丛、盐堆、荒野，直到永远。我百姓的遗民要劫掠他们，我民族的残余，要占领他们的产业。 | 8I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the blasphemies of the children of Ammon, with which they reproached my people, and have magnified themselves upon their borders. |
| 9这事要临到他们身上，是由于他们的傲慢，因为他们辱骂欺凌了万军上主的百姓。 | 9Therefore as I live, saith the Lord of hosts the God of Israel, Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrha, the dryness of thorns, and heaps of salt, and a desert even for ever: the remnant of my people shall make a spoil of them, and the residue of my nation shall possess them. |
| 10上主必要威严地显示给他们，因为他要消灭地上的一切神祇；那时异邦各岛屿，各从自己的地方朝拜他。 | 10This shall befall them for their pride: because they have blasphemed, and have been magnified against the people of the Lord of hosts. |
| 11连你们雇士人，也要为我的刀剑所刺透。 | 11The Lord shall be terrible upon them, and shall consume all the gods of the earth: and they shall adore him every man from his own place, all the islands of the Gentiles. |
| 12他还要向北方伸出自己的手，为消灭亚述，使尼尼微化为荒地，像沙漠一样干旱。 | 12You Ethiopians, also shall be slain with my sword. |
| 13牲畜和洼地所有的走兽必要息卧其中，鹈鹕和䴔䴖也栖宿在她的柱头间，鸱枭在窗上啼叫，乌鸦停在门槛上，因为人剥去了她以香柏做的装饰： | 13And he will stretch out his hand upon the north, and will destroy Assyria: and he will make the beautiful city a wilderness, and as a place not passable, and as a desert. |
| 14这就是那享乐安居，心想「只有我，没有别人」的城市！她如何竟成了荒野，成了野兽的栖所！凡由她那里经过的人，莫不嗤笑摇手。 | 14And flocks shall lie down in the midst thereof, all the beasts of the nations: and the bittern and the urchin shall lodge in the threshold thereof: the voice of the singing bird in the window, the raven on the upper post, for I will consume her strength. |
| 15 | 15This is the glorious city that dwelt in security: that said in her heart: I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desert, a place for beasts to lie down in? every one that passeth by her, shall hiss, and wag his hand. |
